RVP or Aguero. Tevez is as good as both IMO but he no longer plays. At the time of the thread I still stand by what I said but right now he is most definitely the best in the PL.
Strange really. I can't think of that many fantasic strikers around the world. Does seem to be a lack of talent atm. Thinking about it RVP probably is the best striker in the world. Aguero and Tevez also excellent. Drogba actually still is. What happened to Torres? Rooney pretty good and Suarez is getting there But overall not much out there. Probably is fair to say RVP is currently the best.
He is very good, will be intresting to see whether he goes to one of the big Spanish clubs or City at the end of the season? Best in Prem? No. Suarez>RVP
Suarez hardly scores. Bergkamp was never the best striker in the Premiership either. But Van Persie, as well as being a better striker, is better equipped and more capable of the role Suarez plays than Suarez.
Well whoever gets him on a free transfer will be glad then. That's if he stays fit or does not suffer a dip in form??
As long as he stays fit and on form, I think that it is hard to think of many better strikers in Europe at the moment. For me, he is definitely the best in the premier league.
I can't understand people who say Suarez is better. Suarez scores far less goals, and it's not like he creates that many either.
Not sure why Arsenal fans are so keen to keep this going. The more RVP looks like the best striker in the PL, the more the rest of the team look ****.
Not really sure why this is such a contentious issue. He is certainly the best striker in England at the moment. Doesn't mean he will be next year, or even at the end of the season.
This was posted in August, and everyone laughed at us Arsenal fans for even suggesting the idea. Look through pages 1-8 to find some real gems of comments.
Argueing who is the best is pointless and could go on for ever. The easiest way, is to look at the value of the player to the team, or even transfer value. Sure Drogba might be one of the best, but he is only worth about £10 million max due to age, RVP is worth very little to Arsenal because he is running down his contract. So on that basis, we have: Suarez>Drogba>RVP
agreed I've never really considered Suarez a 'striker' anyway. He's best as one of the wide players in a 4-2-3-1 like he was at Ajax.
Say Messi's contract was cancelled, he would be a free agent. Luton town paid £1k for a striker. Based on your argument, the £1k striker would be worth more.
