For me he had his best game in a City shirt. Normally a late sub, he prospered today for a) being given a chance to shine, and b) thriving in that role, freedom to rove and potential danger when and wherever he got the ball.

He could have scored - or at least help set up 3 or 4 goals today and gives us a great option against teams who think they've "found out" how to deal with Holt and Morison?

Couldn't agree more. I was surprised he was taken off. Just a shame there was no-one else in the box when he was looking to put it in there so many times. He is definitelt maturing as a Prem striker and keeping the other two on their toes.
 
I think that other than the Grolt, Simmo holds the key to our seasons success. He is a handful everytime he plays and keeps defences well occupied, even when he doesn't score. A proper team player a well.
 
I just loved the fact that he had a free role similar to what we're used to seeing from Walcott or Lennon, for example, which gave him large areas of the pitch to exploit.
Final touch/ball needs sharpening, but that can be done in training.

I thought he had a very good game today, showed great strength against two man mountain centre halfs, was full of running and unlucky not stay on for the whole game, not that im PL but i would have taken Wes off for Morison and put Jackson behind him and Holt, just because his pace worried them.
But thats why im not a PL manager i guess ? Great win today, roll on the next three then safety <ok>
 
Think he may of got a slight knock just before he was taken off so maybe a precautionary measure? Had a top game and his movement brings something different to our attack which was needed today against a fairly unambitious Bolton who had plenty of men back for long periods of the game.
 
I think he got taken off because of cramp as a few minutes before he went off he was having his leg stretched by the physio and then carried on a bit then off
 
The Bolton back four were perfect for him. Wheater and Knight couldn't handle his pace at all and he could have had a hat-trick. It's a shame he had to come off, but after losing two through injury, I doubt Lambert wanted to risk him, even if it was just cramp.
 
Yes, he did seem to take quite a nasty knock and his pace will be very useful against the Swans on Saturday. I can see this being a very close game and hope we don't lose, but I feel that 32 points at this stage of the season is more than the most optimistic Canaries fan could have hoped for and if we can beat Wigan in 4 weeks time, we should be able to pick up the few points needed for safety in the run-in.
 
Can only agree it probably was his best performance for us, even without a goal.
At the start of the season I expected him to be not much more than a regular substitute but once again he is making the Canary following sit up and notice his ability even at this level.

I really would not like to be Paul Lambert now, picking his attacking options for each game must be a nightmare. It's almost like he have an embarrassment of riches available <ok>
 
He was immense yesterday - and I have to say his game really has come on massively...I remember last season (prior to the run in) and I thought we'd got stuck with a one dimensional footballer that couldn't cut it in the championship, let alone should we stumble into the prem...how wrong I was...

I don't really know when things changed...perhaps that hattrick against scunthorpe flicked a switch in him, or perhaps it's down to our coaches and p.l assessing the weak parts of his game and developing them - either way, without him in the run in last year we'd never be where we are now...

Actually, it was about this time a year ago that he found that amazing form...
 
Some people have given "Cinnamon" stick in the past but he spiced up our play yesterday and will continue to rack up the goals.
