Starting unemployed is just so much more rewarding. I'm finding managing Saints so easy in comparison.
One downside is the lack of attachment to players. On long running Saints ones, you spend 15/20 seasons with them and you grow attached, none of that when you're travelling the world
Personally, it represents the best value for money game I buy. Literally every minute I'm on the computer (which, in the daytime in uni, is a lot of the time) I've got it running.
I usually try and bring my favoured players with me when I join a new club. The insane 17 year-old I posted a few pages back was on my shortlist for years. Had him initially on loan at Parma but he wouldn't sign permanently. Tried to sign him multiple times when I was at West Ham to no avail, but we were reunited at Fiorentina and he was my top scorer in the league-winning season. I'll probably try and get him for Saints at some point as well.
yeah i got to say i enjoy playin the demo i have made my mind up i am gonna get it the club i am managing is wigan i beat norwich 1-0 that did get kyle naughton sent off though good result tho also i managed to get bobby zamora and faulrin
Apologies if this has already been posted, but just thought I'd let you know that Nigel Adkins is up for an award at the Football League Awards 2012. You can vote on the Sport Interactive site: http://www.sigames.com/polls/football_league_awards.php Try and resit voting for Mr.Poyet ;-)
I think this has been the one which I have played the most, Amazingly previous years I played it for a bit and then did not play it for months again. Now I play it most of the time, have a few days break sometimes upto 5 days but then play it again. And in regards to the post early this morning to me, yeah I will post the 5 most important and spectacular ones to sum up the day, only reason why I was posting them all the time is at the start of me playing it some people ask me to prove my success so that you know I am not cheating and I have got used to doing that now.
Just started playing the game for the first time today, one mad thing I had to share, I made a bid for this Brazilian player in the Brazilian league and it was accepted after a long negotiation, his work permit was turn down, appealed and accepted, then it said to complete move, but the player would not move to me for a year and a half, it must be because he is under 18 as he is 16. I paid for him though as I feel that if I did not it would come to bite me back, he was wanted by Real Madrid but I just paid what they asked. Another weird thing, Rodriguez has asked to stay and also my young right back in the youth team is labelled the new Philip Neville, is that good?
Just finished the 2013/14 season finishing 8th in the League and somehow qualified if the Europa League. In the summer at the moment and have made two additions: Jan Vorteghan for £13m! CB rated 4.5 star, potential 4.5! Which is excellent! And signed Ryan Bertand for £4.4m Harding contract ran out so brought him in so have Fox (3star) and Bergrand (4star) LBs. Taken Adebayor on trial. My team now: GK: Amos RB Clyne CB Cahill CB Vorteghan LB Bertrand RM M. Phillips CM King CM Cork LM Lallana ST Hooper ST Wickham Also in my squad is Fonte, Scott Parker on a free! Fox, JWP, Schneidrlin, Hooiveld, Sharp Signed a few 16 years olds that are potential 5 star for compensation fees
Amos struggled for me and I was in the championship, he let in too many, but now he is doing great for Soton on my game as I sold him to them, top of the championship they are at the minute./ Updated here is Gamito Kejansie screen-shots, he is the player with great free kicks. Here is my new centre back from Germany
Not posted a main update for a bit Mad win against Aston Villa today, then a very bad defeat against West Brom, only won 3 out of 12, dropping a bit closer to the relegation zone. Here is a few pictures to sum up the last 2 days, some mad ones, Look at the bit about Rodriguez
Just going to do a post for today. Here madness, Gillingham vs Man Utd 2-0, lol that is good. I done well considering I lost my main midfielder Obertan, but Man Utd were a bit weak due to injuries and had even more in the game, I did aswell with parkers third game back and now he is out for a month, but now I deal with the end of the transfer window, I have let a lot of old faces who have taken me all the way go, Drinkwater, Livermore and many more of them. But a few have come in, mainly youth lot, but here is one I am really happy to get. Pukki, ex Schalke player, cost them near on 6.5 million with add ons and he never played a league game, what a waste of talent, hope it has not damaged him as I brought him in on a free with it rising to 3.5 million if he does well. Last main player I want to talk about who cost cash, other players I got are young and I will talk about if they do well but this one is interesting Italian player, cost 2.2m upfront, but it will rise to 5.2 million probably after his first international game and he is popular with his manager of his country so it will probably happen so I will have to pay a lot. In total I have spent 10m bang on in the windows, summer and January which is ok as I started with 10 million in the summer and since then I have spent all that, but I have also made sales of 9 million so I have 9 million now, will not use any more as there may be a lot of future fees to come off so I don't want the clubs finances getting bad so if they need to take it off next seasons budget it is ok. Not playing it much more now, will play it more later, just going to play my Charlton game in the Fa Cup forth round and then finish the transfer window, I am on the last day so it won't take long/ Just beat Charlton 1-0, not that good considering they are in the Championship but they are in the top 6, Free kick in by my new lad who is Portuguese, knew it would not be too long till he got one, he is really talented, he is a regen but his free kick taking is 20, madness it is. He is the 19 year old who I posted about back a bit, 1.8 million upfront rising in the future. So you can see I have posted above on a previous post instead of making a new post. Made my last signing of the window before it shuts, Rudolph, he is a 17 year old centre back from Germany Stuttgart, 2.5 million initial fee with a add of 3 million in the future so upto 5.5 million, so it takes the total to 12.5 million spent this season, not bad for the Premiership though, this player is worth it. You will find a screen shot above 2 posts in the Amos post where I posted pics of that midfielder. Final update, window is now shut, my sub keeper Jason Steele wanted to go but left it till the last day, he could have gone out on loan but he turned it down as it was not for first team football, now he is on the transfer list, he was a liability when he played, he let too many in, That is why I brought Kasper Schmichael. My last game, just lost against Sunderland, 2-1, had the lead early on, could have gone 2-0 up at 15 minutes when I had a penalty but I put it over the bar and then he were made to pay for the missed chances.
So the University boredom has settled in (along with my nocturnal sleeping pattern) so I've finally started a season with Saints... Just about to hit Christmas and currently joint-top with Forest and a couple of points ahead of West Ham. Brought in Joe Lewis and Andy King in the Summer transfer window along with Emil Larsen, a young Danish winger with bags of potential and available at under £500k and Ameobi on loan. Currently playing the following formation: ..............Ameobi............... Lallana ................... Larsen ........King........Cork............ .............Morgan................ Fox......Jos.....José.....Fraser ...............Lewis................
Hoadie, brilliant post, thanks for doing it all in one place I'm currently struggling with Droylsden, bobbing in and out of the playoffs, struggling to convert chances more than anything! Off at the end of the season anyway, not renewing my miserable contract here.
I finished 8th in my first season with Droylsden. Stayed with them for a 2nd season and was top of the league when I was offered the Crewe job in October/November.
