So the lanky one has been giving his views on Aidy. He appears to have as much to say as he has inches. http://www.nufcblog.com/2012/02/04/williamson-my-pal-mariappa-really-wanted-to-join-newcastle/
I hope that blog is accurate, as it suggests that Newcastle will now go after inferior centre backs in the summer.
According to this, Forest is postponed already... http://www.watfordfc.com/page/Fixtures/0,,10400,00.html
I've also looked on the FL website and it's been removed from the list of Saturday's fixtures but once again no report, very strange. It is however, showing on the BBC website but that, as we've seen with some things on there, it can't always be relied upon to be accurate.
I already have. I will wait until there is a report on the official website to know whether it is definitely off. It's still showing as on on the Sky Sports website.
two possible reasons given : 1. the Derby game is off and the fingers slipped...or 2. they just lost their owner, and they've cancelled out of respect. But...would be nice to know!
I'd be surprised to see them cancel the Watford game out of respect a week after the event, given that they were willing to play their most bitter rivals the day after. It's a bit crass to talk about money less than 24 hours after the news, but he was underwriting Forest to the tune of £250k a week. Any possibility this could be a factor?
2. I would've thought they would've wanted the game to go ahead so they could pay their respects. It's bizarre that on the FL website it's not even showing on the list as postponed, it's just been removed. All we can do is wait and see.
An interesting interview with club related views. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/9510113.Dyche_s_views_on_transfer_window/
I don't know if it's been mentioned but Matty W scored and assisted in Wycombe's 2-1 win over Tranmere yesterday.
Cheers Harrow, Jon Marks mentioned his goal on the Hornet Player and I think it was mentioned in the match thread.
But I know Watford are in a position where they are still battling to stay in the Championship. I think they were more concerned about their own survival.- Mike Williamson We are, there is no reason why we should sell a player to Newcastle United jst because they think they want him. Our club comes first for us not theirs.
He says it as though it's something unusual for a club or something to be ashamed of - the tw*t. He's not even right IMO - I don't see us as 'battling to stay in the Championship', I think we're beyond that - even if Pompey go under and their record is expunged, Millwall, Ipswich and Posh will all lose points too.
Plus we would have a game in hand over Millwall and Ipswich (not to mention Forest, Doncaster Coventry, Bristol City) because their 2nd game against Pomey would disappear, whereas we would still have a full programme.
Can he do anything more to be less respected? I think not, the guy is a twat of the first order. Only award I'd ever give him is a Gold Chocolate medal for being an infantile self centred prick
