Just watched the challenge again and it's quite clear that Meyler had no intention of Going for the ball and launched himself at poor Huth's leg. If you watch carefully Meyler then decks Tony Pulis before rolling around on the floor, winking at the ref anfd grabbing the ball with one hand (a la Maradonna) to score the winning goal. Now I don;t like people cheating playing for my football club so we should punish Meyler accordingly - hung, drawn and quartering shoukd do it! Then the cheating little **** won't be able to do it again. Just my thoughts! JEEZ - some people need to get a grip. 1. Dangerous tackle in bad conditions - deserved a red in my opionion. 2. Of course he jumped - 2 cruciate ligament injuries in last 2 years - you'd jump if you'd hurt your cruciate ligament (done it myself - it's bloody painful and yes you do get protective of it) 3. Pulis can't say anything about cheating -ball rubbing, eye gouging, shawcross challenge to name but a few. Sounds like sour grapes to me which Mary Poppins and Mark ' I ain't got a scooby doo abot football' Lawrenson agreed with on MOTD (you know that programme on the BBC which is renowed for it's unbiased opinions and fairness for coverage). Yes I do think the FA should look at this challenge and maybe a 6 match ban for Huth for his recklessness and also for Pulis for slandering Meyler. Stoke City have gone way down in my opinion after yesterday. RANT OVER!!! Come on MON - FTM!!!!!
It would be impossible for Stoke to go down IMO. No worse team in the country. Horrible to watch, horrible tactics, horrible players, horrible manager. Hope they sink, horribly.
Dangerous tackle...to be fair Huth did try to pull out,but still caught Meylor, and if he never jumped would have been injured (possibly badly) regardless of whether Huth tried to pull out or not....some refs might have gave a yellow, this one gave a red....live with it Pulis!!
I bet if Turner had done the same to one of his players, Pullis The prick would have been moaning like **** on MotD that his players weren't being protected. The sending off has masked the fact for Pullis that Stoke were and are ****e. They are the worst team to come to the SOL this season and they were utter cak again yesterday. We didn't even have our best 11 out yesterday either.
Fully agree on Pullis and Stoke, but best 11? Cest the way we are playing it's getting really difficult to pick our best 11 cos no matter what team MON puts out lately, they're doing the business and playing for each other. Meyler has hardly had any game time and yet yesterday he just slotted in like he'd been playing for months. There seems to be a real cameradery (spelling) running through the squad. Keep it up MON.
"The disappointing thing is the sending off. Robert skids in but doesn't touch the player. "The referee hasn't taken the conditions into consideration. The player rolls around and stays down. "But Robert hasn't touched him. The player tries to get him sent off. It's a disease that's creeping into the game." 1. He clearly has it shows TP hasnt really seen a vidio 2, He took conditions in to consideration but even on a normal pitch its a really bad tackle 3. He didnt move and he stayed down because he smashed he knee on the frozen pitch 4. he dodnt do anything to robert huth because he was down injured
Well said lad, If I was Myler I would be looking for an apology. As far as Stoke going down in my opinion well! I never held them or their style of play that high to begin with.
Pulis used this as a smokescreen to deflect comment away from his own and his teams shortcomings. Bloke is an arsehole
I think Pulis eanysto watch the meyler challenges (the one by fuller as well) and also the yellow that O'Shea hot. Never touched the man AT ALL. People in glass houses and all that?
What a tosser Meyler is. I can't believe he so obviously meant to injure poor Robert, and kicked the ball instead.
