From SSN Simon Mignolet - 6 John O'Shea - 6 Michael Turner - 6 Phil Bardsley - 6 James McClean - 8 Kieran Richardson - 6 Craig Gardner - 6 Jack Colback - 6 David Meyler - 6 Sebastian Larsson - 5 Stephane Sessegnon - 7 Also interesting thread on the SMB about who the MOTM was: http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=670462&page=3 A certain Mr Richardson, I could not comment as I did not see all the game.
He`s crap He cant head Cant think Gets Homesick Doesnt look like a footballer Comes from Birmingham Only wants to shoot all day Just joking
A couple of times v Norwich Gardener could have passed and got caught in possession in a promising positions, however at least he got into those positions - its a little harsh imho to criticise individual players when as a team they are getting the results(plus he has scored some goals!)
Give them all 10 inc the fans who travelled and will no doubt have a long trek home. **** conditions, **** football ground and they all covered every flake of snow for the cause. 3 points down there is a magnificent result.
Sess also gets caught with the ball, someone should tell him he cant go past 4 players every time - only 2/3
Mignolet only flapped once otherwise never troubled. Defence was sound, especially Richardson who kept Pennant out of the game. Larsson was quiet (Thought he would be at home in the snow!!), but the rest of midfield closed down as well as ever. McClean quiet first half. Gardner worked his socks off helping in attack and in defence. Yes he got caught a couple of times when dribbling cos ball held up in the snow. Sess always a threat to the big immobile centre halves.
Ricco (can't believe i just said that) and Gardner.....Man of the match. McClean..moment of the match....topper. Everyone played their part though, in **** conditions....but as MoN says "they adapted" and over-came.
