And I'm in final year, but as I said, hoping to get into this Masters...I literally have no idea what I'm going to do, considered teaching (I did a year working as a teaching support assistant with a couple of autistic lads so got experience) and had an idea of working in media/marketing as a copywriter but it would generally mean working unpaid and with no job security for the first few years so I'm not sure it'll be viable!

Will keep that in mind mate thanks. We've done a similar thing before here in Manchester a few years back and in Sheffield. We were meant to be getting recorded by some French producer called Elvis but nothing happened with that...
My housemate is doing music production too but I'm not sure what the recording facilities are like.

On a side note...our band 'manager' (I say manager...he helped us get gigs, we went drinking with him, he came to gigs, I'm off to his wedding, just random crap ha) was the Arctic Monkeys' manager up until they got famous and got a 'proper' manager from their record label...just saying ;) ha. Friend of my mate's family n all that.

Haha yeah pretty much. Genius though, he's done pretty well for himself in the past 6 or so years I suppose. Our 'manager' guy talked about him a bit, apparently he was always shy and withdrawn and spoke the least out of all of them. This certainly isn't projected on stage like..

Does the name RIF X mean anything to you AH? Just had an email recently about them, seems they've been playing at Cluny2 in the Surface Festival. Ring a bell?

Wey like I say these studios were brand new built about 3 or 4 years ago, but they had a revamp and changed the desks and a few of the outboard a year or two ago - it's the reason I chose Leeds Met as the facilities elsewhere didn't really compare!

Aw nice one, I've met Alex Turner and the rest of them before at the Cockpit in Leeds, they seemed canny enough as they were going along to see their mates in The Rascals - my flatmate had won tickets in the Metro so we got to go to the gig for free and it was pretty empty, ended up trading numbers with Miles Kane - he was one of the numbers I lost when I'd dropped my phone in a puddle!

Yeah Leeds was one of the uni's I applied for too, was my second choice (for English like). But decided to come here instead. It was a group decision as moved up with my 2 best mates to prevent us from all having to go to different uni's and live in halls ha. Don't really like people ha so ya know :p

Ahh that sucks I'd be gutted if I lost a famous persons number ha. I'm good at breaking phones though so it could happen.
