But when was the last time we actually lost away on TV (I'm probably being an idiot here, and it probably only last month or something!). Away draws to Pompey and Reading this season and Posh last season. Granted none of those games were wins either, but I am struggling to think of an away defeat since relegation and admin. The trashing that Wolves gave us towards the end of that 08/09 is the last game which I can remember.
I see poyets game plan has worked again. Beckford S/O after a Soft free kick and a bit of mouth. Starting to really hate Brighton.
Saints Vs Birmingham. Davis. Richardson, Fonte(c), Martin, Fox. Puncheon, Schneiderlin, Cork, Lallana. Connolly, Lambert. #saintsfc Unchanged from Cardiff and no Billy Sharp - Did Adkins learn anything from Cardiff?
On the bench for Saints are: Bialkowski, Harding, Hammond, Guly and Sharp #saintsfc Well he is never going to leave his boyfriend Guly out the squad is he? Falque and Lee miss out altogether
That we played well, and in the second half in particular, were absoloutely excellent? Looks like he's learnt that. I did suspect that we'd be seeing Sharp make his debut from the bench. Good to see Guly back in the squad too. Two cracking options to be able to turn to on the bench.
Dissapointed not to see sharp and lambo upfront. Especially after Connolly being invisible last couple of matches.
Why would he leave Guly out? He's our top scorer from open play. Dissapointed not to see Sharp start, Connolly has looked poor in the last 2 games.
Strange...Guly has been injured. Why bring in players like Lee and Falque who will be chomping at the bit, only not to even stick them on the bench. I'm guessing those two players don't like the cold !
The only decision that has baffled me is Connolly is the starting 11. Ohwell he will probably score now.
Not really the game for Lee is it.. high pressure, filthy conditions...probably better to give him a run out on Tuesday.
I agree, we will need some good link-up play to get anything out of today though I guess so maybe thats the thought. Would like to see Sharp come on sooner rather than later.
Good to see Guly back. Shame no Lee, he was one of our best players on Tuesday. Falque doesn't deserve a place in the side as of yet, plus he isn't our player so we're bound to favour our own players.
