Nice one Baz! Looking forward to this weekend's games... Decent sets of fixtures which should produce the goals. Think Chelsea Vs United will be a high-scoring game! (Now i've said that, it'll be 0-0!)
Each week on Rival Watch we take a detailed, unbiased look at one of our rivals, this week we focus on *an U: Manchester United are performing surprisingly well this season, one could say, there position in the league is papering over the cracks? Are they really an overachieving team in rapid decline, or can Ferguson lead this ageing team to an incredible 20th league title? On the face of it all appears well at the toilet<cough> but United face a very tough month starting with a trip to Stamford Bridge, Chelsea could have a field day playing against one of the weakest keepers in the league and a midfield featuring two United legends <choke> approaching middle age. What will happen remains to be seen, but it will be a match Rival Watch will pay close attention to!
Ooooooooooo here we go! Arsenal v Blackburn Anyone remember the score when Blackburn went to Ole Traffud?? Remind me again? C'mon Blackburn!!! Newcastle v Aston Villa I still don't see Newcastle as a threat...but would be nice to move away from the pack. C'mon Villa, don't expect much from them though. Chelsea v Man U If Utd win then we have the opportunity to close the gap on Chelsea to 1 point. If Chelsea win then we must win our game otherwise we could see ourselves drift to a 7 point gap. On the plus side Utd lose! It's a win win game! Liverpool v Spurs I would love it if we beat them.
Can't remember, I have been a bit sick recently, my memory is bad when I am tired i spent all last night yaKKIng. Let me have a little look on google.......
Think you might be underestimating villa, they played some really nice stuff the other day and we unlucky not to punish QPR. bent in particular missed some chances he normally buries. I think they are getting healthy too and front trio of Keane, Bent, and gabby gabby should cause newcastle problems.
**** at the back though Villa mate. Dunne should have gone out on a bit of a high last season, Warnock is error prone, Cuellar is decent but Hutton is their Konchesky Think if Ba and Ben Arfa get a decent run out they could rip Villa apart.
As a newcastle fan I dont actually see Liverpool as a threat. We told all season that it wont last but we are still above you with a nicer set of fixtures coming up than your lot. With Ba and Cisse back this weekend and Tiote in a week or so is only going to make the run-in easier for us. I am more worried about Arsenal than Liverpool TBH
Ya, I know they are suspect but that same back four beat Chelsea at Chelsea! Just saying they are not to be underestimated.
I'm just glad to be ahead of you at the moment, as everyone knew it was your year again this year with King Kenny back. Being ahead of the mighty Liverpool is beyond my wildest dreams. Plus we still have your £35m left!
Still one of the only profitable clubs in the country though, which has been helped by cheap signings and selling over the odds. In all seriousness though, Newcastle are aiming for 4th only because why aim for below where you are. If we finish 7th its still an amazing season for us. I think we will end up 7th, but i have been thinking we would have dropped off earlier and are still going. So what do i know
Ashley's spent it on hookers, fast food, and booze by now mate - sorry to burst your bubble please log in to view this image
I must admit I expected you to fall away earlier than this, but you've continued to do well. I agree if you aim high and fail you still end up higher than if you go into it expecting to be mediocre. Good luck in coming just below us.
