initially i thought this would be a landslide win for bristol, 3-0, however, we have seen performances pick up quite dramatically when a new manager comes in, therefore i revise my prediction to 3-1 bristol
I dont know why your worrying about it kissa. It doesn't really matter, all that matters is he didnt want to play for Bristol City anymore
Before Tuesday nights game we would have been top if you only counted the second half of every game! But we're not we're 10th. Your season started the same as everyone elses, so your 20th.
You say unknown reason yet continue to be happy with Ken Bates in charge... it's obvious it was set up so he wouldn't have to argue with the new manager about players.
and the no **** sherlock award goes too....... if you could see where i was coming from you would of understood that comment..... as for the whole maynard to Leicester thing if people did a bit of research both maynard and the club rejected them, just look it up, knew it wouldn't be long before we were arguing about pointless ****, then again it is Leeds they did well to get past the first page
To be fair I was asking a serious question to you regarding the Maynard bid when some gobby little **** came back with some ****ty comment!
Most city fans are glad Maynard has gone now, caused a bit of a split in support with some pro and some anti Maynard has over shadowed our season so far with the local press writing about the Maynard situation every other day.
yeah i know but when im working i cant read it straight away and by the time i did read it a massive argument broke out
I dont know why because i actually back bates i have to agree with everything he does. Its not black and white, you can agree with things people do AND disagree with some things that people do. It was stupid to sack him a day AFTER the transfer window, but there is probably some thought pattern. could be Grayson's last chance to resurrect the squad, coulda been because Bates didn't expect another home thrashing so sacked him in anger, coulda been as you say, didn't want a new manager wanting to free spend in a January window. Whatever the reason, I still woulda made a decision at Christmas and stuck with it for the season
Back in the 70's in the days of the old first division, when nearly all matches kicked off at 3.0 on a Saturday afternoon, and the fixtures were not determined by a computer, it was critical that local rivals were kept apart on match days. In division 1 the local enemies were - Man Utd-Man City, Liverpool-Everton, Aston Villa-Birmingham, Derby-Nottingham Forest, Ipswich-Norwich, newcastle-Sunderland, Arsenal-spurs, West ham-Chelsea etc... The only two sides left without any significant other rivallry were Bristol City and Leeds, and that is why when Bristol City played at home, Leeds played away, and vice versa.... Could that explain why Joe Jordon, Terry Cooper, Norman Hunter figured so much in City's history in the 80's.....
Was at the last ever game for Leeds under Carver, when Stoke tore us to shreds at ER, can't help but feel we will struggle again today and would be happy with a draw.
