Wellbeck never left us,he was never ours, he was on loan till the end of the season, season ended and Utd called him back, just like Jonny Evans.

Now Bent is a different matter, ****ing greedy ****.

Well picked up on the "little dance" bit cutey....Thats the whole point...Next time youre at a match look round and see how many board members and Investors are shouting their bollocks off beside you beside you Liverpools supporters in the end took to the streets to get rid of a couple of " investors " (im only using them as I exemplified Liverpool as a proper club...like us)

Some people like to get carried away by the fantasy of big business for their football Others are seeped in reality...like taking one in the face for the team or coming back from the dead to score a couple of outstanding goals You cheer who you want

Im from Sunderland I grew up never letting anybody **** on me.......If we let him **** on us twice he`d be getting completely the wrong idea about Sunderland and he`d end up never really knowing us at all.....which would be a shame for him...

I don't see many investors at matches, true enough. It's a bit far to come from Seoul or Accra. I'm afraid the days when big crowds week in, week out could generate 'The Bank of England Club' are long since gone. Today, it takes one thousand people to turn up at the SoL just to pay George McCartney's weekly wage. People like you and me have slipped way down in importance. The club still likes us to turn up of course. It generates some revenue, but mostly they like us because empty seats and a dead atmosphere don't look good on television. And that's by far the main source of revenue these days - television and advertising. Man. U. or Real Madrid probably make more out of global shirt sales than we make out of a 38,000 crowd at the SoL.

Today Sunderland play to the world, or they'll rapidly become Portsmouth #2. If Niall Quinn or Asamoah Gyan can get a million Irishmen or Ghanaians to switch on their televisions, then where you were born and how you grew up is a piss-pot irrelevance.

I was dragged up in the same place you were Dyavvy - and it doesn't matter a sh*t any more. The world has changed, and it won't go back for us.

I refer you to a comment I made earlier.....perhaps youd prefer deference to the Gilletes of this world.....Youve forced me into drawing references from when Scousers went to the High Court in London to fight for their club......What the world buys into is the pride and passion...Im saddened to see you think its" a piss pot irrelevance where you were born"
Everything Quinn and now Ellis says is about improving the crowd and valuing it on and off the field........Youre a million miles away from truly understanding that if you dont buy into it too.....Dont know about you but I was at the cup final in May `73 Thats what the world still buys into......Its just like the stock market....ups and downs...this is stlll the same old world.....our stock is up at the moment...thats all
You only have valuable stock if you a) dont buy rubbish b) associate yourself with crap leaders ........... Showing you can be ****** about by a "Ghanaian/Irishman " or any other man is not a good idea.....believe me.Bad for the "Brand" Thanks for the little lesson on Global development though...bit of an eye opener for me that one
Not sure I like the sound of being "dragged" up either......I was "brought" up......definitely... I remember that.

The "pride and passion" of Forest Green Rovers?! What people buy into is a team doing well. Likewise, what people buy into about 1973 is that we won. Nobody gives a toss about who lost in 1974 or 1976 - and both of those had bigger crowds than us.

What people buy into with Liverpool is the European successes, not 'You'll ne-e-ever walk ...'. Old hat, heard it all before. If Carlos Tevez plays today and scores a couple, nobody outside of the streets of Manchester will give a damn about him messing them about for a couple of months. Forget it.

The Bruce days are gone, and the Bruce issues should too.

PS "dragged" referred to my own upbringing. No offence intended to either you or your parents.

    Good point cutey as always...

Liverpool still have a huge following worldwide....even though Man U have been the big boys as of late...

They are global brands...not something easily achieved.

I did not mean it in that context, I meant it more that he might be thinking to himself he should have stayed. (Welbeck that is)

I cant follow any of your logic!!! I said nothing at all about Forest Green...Or Steve Bruce!!.......I did however say something about Sunderlands History and by definition their history and standing "us" as part of the "Product" of the premiership which unless you tell me something different is what we "market" You could be accused of being extremely parochial and "smalltime"otherwise......Sticking strictly to the point.....you would nt get anybody at Anfield in similar circumstances being the slightest bit interested with Gyans position or have him back..... You seem to be waging a war against people who dont like what hes done??? You and Commachio seem to understand each other......you should continue to astound each other with your appreciation of world affairs in relation to a **** who wants to take your club for a ride .....Stoke 0 Sunderland 1....Gerrin! All the best Cutey!
