He's done an interview on skysports.com today saying Mon should be the next England manager if the FA turn away from Old Arry.

He isn't the first, or the only voice calling for Mon to be the next national manager of London Utd, I mean England and I think it's now time to tell them all to bugger off.

We have waited for bloody years to get Mon as our manager and 8 weeks into his reign, every man and his dog outside the club want him to get him to leave.

Come on Martin, tell the world you'd rather shove hot knitting needles up you japs eye than take the poisoned chalice that is the England managers job.

You have a mission to fulfill at the SOL and there's a long way to go yet.

FTM and hands of wor Martin

MON and England, well firstly I just have a feeling that the love afair is a two way thing and he loves us in the way we love him, he sees how he can take a very poor club historicly and take it to the top, he likes the people he is working with, the fans and lets face it, he would need to cock up big time to be under pressure up here.

I'm not sure he would be right for England either, he would miss the day to day and I realy think his kick comes from taking the Macleans and making them stars.

I don't think England would be the carrot to tempt him... complete poison chalice and I'm sure he knows it. I'd be more worried if Man U. Chelsea or Arsenal came calling because even though I think he does have a long standing affinity for us those clubs would be hard to turn down.

I'm sure that MON has had a really good taste of life at the SOL and likes what he sees, the club is very well organised and structured unlike some of his previous clubs. His own ambitions match the clubs and i honestly think that he feels he can acheive great things with us, he's already said he likes what the owner had to say regarding ambitions. Why would he leave that for a no win job in chasrge of 'London Utd' as Cest correctly put it?

He's a man of principal and honour so doubt very much that he would walk out and as Syd has already said, he woulkd have to screw up pretty badly to get the boot.

Think the Man U would be even more of a poison chalice. Must have some balls to follow SAF.

MONs ours now till he retires.

I think Pulis is more on about in 5-10 years time, when MON is the England manager & Pulis is the Welsh manager.

For me I am quite calm about this. Dont think MON would take the England job if indeed he was asked. As fantastic a manager he is think his time to manage any of Chelsea United City or Arsenal has gone Believe all of these clubs will look for someone younger and more than likely from abroad. Really believe MON sees Sunderland as his destiny and relishes the opportunity and challenge to take us to the levels we constantly crave for. IN MON we trust

The FA are too ignorant to appoint him so I wouldn't worry too much.
