For some reason i forgot about Warnock's link with the Tevez saga. Can't wait to see him squirm under questioning in his next post match interview.
I doubt it, even Warnock is saying the West Ham situation bears no similarity to this one. That means they can't use it as a precedent case to claim they shouldn't have points deducted. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_6806710,00.html
Warnock wasn't even at QPR when the alleged offence took place, so I doubt he knows anything about the deal.
He's been speaking to their lawyers, and the corrections to things were only made earlier this season when he was at the club so he'll know as much as he would if he'd been at the club when he was first signed.
What's wrong with having a third party involved with a player? And how can they fake a contract extension? Can someone please explain what's actually going on in simple terms?
He doesn't sound very sure to me........ "I've spoken to our legal advisers and they have been very reassuring. From what they have told me, this is nothing like the Tevez situation."
I some places(particularly South America), it's common for players to actually be owned by agents, rather than clubs, this should explain it all: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third-party_ownership_in_association_football
Yep that clears that up cheers, but what are the other 6 breaches for? 1. Unauthorised agent, didn't think this was illegal, wasn't Cairney using an unauthorized agent when we extended his contract? And surely that's a crime against the player rather than the club? Or are the club in trouble for accepting to deal using an unauthorized agent? 2. False information on contract extension, can't see what would be false or why they'd put false information in?? Pointless? This one puzzles me the most.. 3. Obviously the 3rd party involvement.. would have thought QPR would have just bought out the 3rd parties rights to the player at the singing though considering their money.. And that's all that link tells you about, so are there 4 other things they've done, or is it that those 3 crimes breach 7 rules? All this gobbledy gook goes way over my head, I prefer sticking to what's happening on the pitch.. And either way I bet they get let off lightly, most likely no points deduction and probably a small fine (or small in their owners eyes)
In simplest terms, if the contract extension was done in a way that was outside the rules you'd submit false paperwork to make it look like it was within the rules.
