The fact people like Badger get made moderators is why these forums are tanking, and hardly any fans other than bickering SAFC/NUFC fans are left, trading insults without debate, with moderators openly making personal attacks on other people and justifying it as "banter"

I gave up here after a week, but Ive decided checked back once out of hope. Alas both sets of fans are still equally pig headed. But it was the fact such biased moderators are around that tipped me over the edge into leaving.

It shocks me that grown up people cant see that moderators are also fans. I am not on here, and neither is badger, in our mod roles, we are fans. If you had been on you would have seen that Newcastle and Sunderland fans seldom visit each others boards and get on fine. This forum is not tanking, we have a drop in active users, was always going to happen but the answer is simple matty, if you dont like it here then off you pop, we do.

    bye then
think it's about time you (not just him have noticed a few on here and it's getting to the bullying stage) left badger alone he's a 19 yr old kid and having a laugh, christ he is way more sensible than i was at 19 and at the end of the day he's a toon fan there seems to be a witch hunt trying to get him to give up being a mod("your to young to be a mod""mods don't behave like that" are some of the comments i've read)and I for one like him as a mod he doesn't interfere or act the big I am .every now and then we have border raiders if you like and it's part and parcel we had the 'SUPER mod' on here most of the day and i and a few others did it,it's called banter if you can't hack it then there is only one answer ...**** off

I agree with you fat mike and hope you dont see me as bullying anyone, I repeat what I said earlier. I think its sad when the mod role comes up in these debates. When I come on and comment on threads like this its because I'm a SAFC fan giving my view, I see badger commenting as a NUFC fan, not a moderator. Its unfair and unjust to say, you should not be a mod because. All of the mods are fans first, yes I think we may have to think a bit more because we are mods but we can, as fans, take part in banter, I hope.

See the BBC mods had it easy as they didn't have their heads above the parapet! I fully appreciate the jobs everyone does on here and the fact that the moderators are fans too, they have the power to sort things out aye, but are here first and foremost to continue chatting about their team & all other off-topic things with their mates on this forum.
Keep up the good work lads, it's got a similar vibe to the mackem's readytogo & the toontastic forum - probably not to everyone's taste but I enjoy it as it's almost as if it's those two forums on the same site!

Got no problem at all with moderators, it's not as if they go around using any powers they have unnecessarily. They're just supporters and fans of their respective clubs helping to keep the boards tidy.

Nothing at all wrong with that.

Second what OT said, this board is successful and the biggest reason for this is the mods IMO

I must admit that badger seems to get his mod title thrown at him a lot, not sure why. Mine tends to be uesed in a piss taking way and I'm fine with that, prefer super stud but that would be a lie

Mind you, this is often the reason why certain people aren't ideal moderators. I've noticed that the best tactic is for moderators to be those who just stay out of debates/insult-throwing and are fairly neutral about most things.

It's one of the reasons why I'd never really be moderator material (on here or on any forum), because I like my opinion too much and I enjoy telling people to shut the hell up if they talk crap. It just wouldn't work and I wouldn't be a good role model.

Being like that and being a moderator can work but the person HAS to remain unbiased when it comes to actual moderating. Sure, have a little debate, but make sure mod actions are unbiased, neutral and justified. If someone ever starts abusing their powers, then that's when **** goes downhill. Other than that, it's no big deal.

should we have a poll? Mind you could well be right because a lot of geordies support Sunderland but no mackems support Newcastle.
