This could be a very uncomfortable time for TP. I have yet to see Sunderland play well at the Britannia, so I hope that this continues. However, should The Black Cats play to their potential and turn us over, when you look at the visits of Swansea and Norwich to come (both of who will look far more comfortable on the ball than ourselves), plus the Bannana skin that our beloved leader harps on about at Crawley, then his bankrupt footballing philosophy may finally be exposed for all to recognise. When you have been slogging your guts out all week, you go to support your team hoping to see something that will lift your spirits - usually a victory will compensate for a multitude of sins, but when you consider that we have not won in our last 3 home games, have not managed a worthwhile shot in our last two PL away games, and have an £8m midfield player who can't be selected if it is windy, have sold a potential future star aged 20 while offering extended contracts to people either past their best, or not really very good to start with, then you have to realise that even PC and the majority of Stoke fans are really beginning to question what TP adds to our team.
All depends who scores first for me on this one, Whoever does, i back them to win. Stoke have seem to collaspe abit when they've gone behind this season. Reminds me of a stat we have when Keane managed us in the second season 'If we scored first, we never lost, however if they scored first, we always lost' this was proved true until Andy scored a brilliant volley against west ham near the end of the season
I never knew the fans were so annoyed with TP, many wanting him out? I was under the impression that you were all ok with playing to yours strengths, obviously those strengths aren't there anymore.
Got to say even as a Newcastle fan, and knowing how good Stoke are at home, I can't see Sunderland losing this though. 1-1 draw for me, Crouch for Stoke and Sessegnon for Sunderland.
Such is my interest in Newcastle, I havn't even got the foggiest idea who you are playing this week...
On the tele? I was planning on going to the metro centre late afternoon so don't want to be stuck in traffic on the A1.
Played very good football with 2 good goals unfortunately our arses dropped out against intimidation and I think you got 3 late goals. Travesty of justice that day. Still Stoke away is a bloody hard game so would be happy with a point.
Sometimes you vere over into wumming Sombrero - I don't know why you do it when it winds you up the other way.
AdZ Not Pulis out so much, more like the guy is clueless when it's coming to home games now. We can usually "pick the team" the night before Tony Pulis does. See Stokie Smits last comments I'm in full agreement with him. ONE winger? at home = too negative. Respect to Newcastle they hammered us but we didn't even turn up that night.. MY main gripe with T.P. apart from the above.. We used to play with some passion, pride, never say die attitude. OUR fans we're up for it singing every week at home games. Now? It's the complete opposite imo. We look nervous, I can NOT remember the last time we started a home game well on top. T.P.s subs when he does make them are usually an hour too late and we're a goal down chasing the game. I'll take any money offered that IF we (Stoke) did take the lead on Saturday. T.P.s first reaction will be to sub a player doing OK and say..." We hold what we have".. he has always done this, we score first, we sit back= eventually and this has happened a few times this season, we get caught out.
Because Adz said he didn't want to get stuck in traffic. He asked if it was on the telly, indicating to me he thought there might be a lower crowd there.
