Aw, sorry to disappoint Page. If I bite will you promise to stop crying? I think the 1,000 seats will be kept empty. They did the same at Anfield for the FA Cup - we could have had an allocation of 6,400 based on FA Cup rules, but only got 5,319 to keep a space between the groups of fans. That's why attendance was under 44,000 - hard to think over 1,000 tickets would have been unsold for that match if they'd been available! Seems like the same deal here. Tacit admission by the police / stewards that they wouldn't be able to handle it if anything did actually kick off? I dunno, he definitely reacted to them at Fulham. Having his first match back at Anfield will probably help him tho.
It will be very interesting to see the Suarez - Evra handshake. If Suarez still believes he's been wrongly accused, it could actually be him who snubs Evra? Personally I'd like to see them shake hands and put the whole thing behind them - after all the Suarez incident was nowhere near as bad as the Terry incident appears to have been.
Too true, their 2 grown men and something's are bigger than your own dignity. They both behaved badly Suarez worse so, but man up and shake on it.
The problem is that even if the players decided to get over it, a certain element of both sets of fans, and the media, will try to keep it going for as long as they can get mileage out of it.
Agreed - it would be good to see them shake hands and even having a bit of banter through the game although I would expect Suarez won't say a single word just in case!
I said they should have done this at Anfield, even if it seemed like a real PR stunt, it would have got it out of the way. Maybe that fine as a donation, shaek hands with evra, smile for the pic, done and dusted. If Suarez snubs Evra- it will just kick the **** up again and the United crowd will let any and all venom out towards Suarez.
True, but I think if the players shake hands then that section of the fans and media will be very much left in the minority. Whereas if one snubs the other, or they both do, then the whole vicious cycle will just start over again. Although I get the feeling Suarez will probably get a fair bit of abuse during the game either way - most Utd fans in the ground will have seen how Evra was treated and will probably want to "even the score"...
Riddle me this Swarbs, we will boo Saha on Monday because: A.) He is black and we are all racist B.) He played for you lot C.) He played for the blue ****e I know which one the media will pick
watched the newcastle-villa game today and the newcastle crowd were boo-ing n'zogbia and bent's every touch. racist or just hate the players? hate the players is probably the answer......same as us with evra.
