I must admit I was unconvinced by Sess really up until MON took over. Yes he had skill and a great touch but he seemed to lack end product to me and flattered to be honest. However He has just kept on improving this year to become undropable in my opinion at the moment. He now is putting the finishing together and the final ball and his partnership with Campbell looks set to become outstanding.
best player at the club by a mile, needs to be tied down to a new long term contract. Remember Quinny saying about him when he signed last year that we offered him less than what he was on at PSG and Sess' reply was "thats fine I will show you how good I am and you will offer me a better contract" class act, love the lad me
I've always loved him <3 But since MON came he's stopped shooting from ridiculous positions and instead carries on his run or lays it off!
Don't spoil it Vaughan lol! Anyway players contracts aren't worth the paper they are written on! That said I remember Johnstone being turned by rangers and Ried put him in the reserves and let him rot for a year and it pretty much ruined his career.
haha. I do think we should try and keep Sess here. However I wouldn't begrudge him a move to a top team like Man United, I would be upset if he went to a similar team to us.. say Aston Villa
We need to break the bank to keep him. A replacement would cost us 15m+ and 60k a week. But I very much doubt a player of that caliber would come here anyway. I think looking back at history MON will want to keep Sess just like he wanted to keep Milner. Fingers crossed
We need to do whatever, and i mean WHATEVER it takes to keep sess at the club and keep him happy. Pure class that lad!
That's it Vegas. If he goes, we simply cannot replace him, unless we are in Europe. If he goes , we don't get into Europe. 3 year deal, bigger wages, the lad is ****ing phenomenal. One thing I love, is how hard he works, on top of the obvious skill. He's a beast of a player, and absolutely he could play for any team in the league. Arsenal, Chelsea & Liverpool are crying out for a player like him, show him now what he means to us!
Under Bruces negative style of play, support for Sess was either too slow coming or just wasn't there. Leaving him no option but to take on daft shots, I never doubted once the lads ability, I did doubt the tactics we were using though. He was looking for one twos and never got them, he started to look very frustrated. What a breath of fresh air since MON came, we are now passing and moving and players are making an effort to make themselves available for the ball. It takes hard work, but as the Norwich game showed, it's worth it. I know BB and myself have always had faith in him, and had the same worry that one of the big lads come in for him. If we have to break the bank to keep him, so be it. As someone else has said just think of the cost to replace him.
Fair one, let's make it 8. He's the best footballer we've had in my lifetime, he's just ****ing immense. I think I love him.
I can't remember the last time i saw a player of his skill at this club, i thought malbranque had some moves, but this is live comparing Zendens and Gyans dancing !
Got to admit I agree with Concrete Tony. I wasn't all that fussed on his 1 really good game in 6 etc but now he's having brilliant games every week. Noticed the other day he's now took over Larsson as our top scorer as well.
