Seriously now, how many people have gone completely mental when beating one of the big teams or the mackems with someone else in the house?

4 of us used to do a network save, where we all played together from our own laptop, we used to play it in 6th form....when one of us scored the whole common room was aware of it <laugh>

I was that sad once, I played it on the way to Preston last season on the Monday night. I had my laptop at uni and went straight from there, made the trip go by quick.

A couple of months ago I had a save with Atletico Madrid, 3-2 up on Barcelona with a chance of closing the gap at the top, then ****ing Simao scores an own goal from a corner, was furious and went absolutely mental. Anyway proceeded game and the next day I put him up for sale, plenty of offers were coming in and within the week he was sold, looked at my fixture list as for some reason I didn't have a game this weekend... notice that the Barcelona game is showing up 4-3.. looked at it, Aguero had scored in the 89th minute after Simao ran from his own box to the other to lay it on a plate for Aguero. Was gutted I let him go.

    How does everyone do pre-season?

I always start with 2 ****ty none league teams, usually select local ones, smash them 15-0 for good confidence, I then do a tour of a different country every year, playing the hardest teams possible, and finish with a home friendly against a top european side. Seems to do me some good.

I always play an easy team to get morale up, go on tour of a country that takes my fancy, play one easy and one difficult game out there, come back and play 2 of the hardest teams I can, followed by an easy team to finish. Always get a bright start to the season for some reason with this :D

Also, one season I had with Newcastle I had Sunderland as a pre-season friendly at the start where you can't choose who you play! Needless to say I took it very seriously.

The charity shield does my nut. Its a **** game and gets in the way, would prefer to have a couple of weeks off before the season, no injuries and good fitness. The keepers have the best fitness in the game, the more they play, the higher the fitness. Shame about the rest of the team though.

I always seem to get Sunderland right at the start of the season, not to mention getting 2 home games to start with. Its a dodgy system.

Only when the computer cheats, I mean earlier I lost 4-1 at Birmingham, well Birmingham don't score 4 goals, so knew it was cheating.

Does anyone know how to get the disciplinary down? I always get complaints from my players about it but never know how to get it down. My disciplinary record is shocking, I always warn players and sometimes fine them if they get sent off.

Maybe just fine them more money and/or more often? I remember Smith complaining to me at NUFC and I thought it ironic that he would bring it up. Now I get really annoyed when they get themselves sent off so a warning is compulsory, or a fine if they cost us the game.

It seriously annoys me when they get sent off for daft fouls or 2 yellows. I also hate when the referee gives a penalty, then at the end of the match the media say it was a controversial decision, you complain about it in the press conference, it then turns out it was the right decision and you get a warning or sometimes a ban. **** stirring media, god it is realistic!
