That wasn't what I said, I said that most people will be praying just before they die and Pleasenotpoll said they wouldn't as there were facts to suggest this.

Well, everything is dying, but I would have said it was human nature to pray to something/someone when you are entering the unknown, such as death, maybe that is just me though. Let's face it, nobody knows.
It's not human nature, it's learned behaviour. Someone that never prays won't do so because they're dying. What would be the point? Prayer doesn't even make much sense for theists.

You're assuming that atheists doubt, but also that they haven't thought prayer through. Asking an omnipotent and omniscient being to change it's mind is unlikely to work, is it?
