I don't know how reliable the website Givemefootball is,but it reports and I got the link from my facebook page that Liverpool are interested in Alexis Sanchez. The fee believed is ââ¬35 million. He is 22 which would fit into the NESV blue-print and is something we need as he's a real top class winger. What do you guys think,is it a rumour or is there any substance.?
Hope it's true, ive mentioned him on here before when people were rambling on about Turan, who he is better than btw
According to goal.com, Barca are interested and are watching him at the moment. €35m seems like a lot of money though.
Well he is a lot more talented than Carrol so you shouldn't object that much to the price given what you paid for him.
Andy Carroll at his age is the best at what he does,if Arsenal had a similar player, they may be still in the Champions League. Before you say you have Chamakh,He has been one of the major disappointments of the season. And I do include Joe Cole in that too.
We'll have to wait and see before you come out with outlandish comments like that. Still have Arsenal at 9/2 to win the league so you ****ers better get the finger out!!!
Wasn't trying to be insulting, I just think Sanchez is one of the brightest talents in Europe. Very quick, decent strength, brilliant dribbling skills, good shooting-you can see why he has been compared to Ronaldo. Carroll on the other hand wasn't worth more than 15 million in my opinion. Alright he is tall, and has better control than Heskey but I don't see why he is so highly rated. If he turns out like Drogba though then I will be the first to take my words back.
He's technically the ''English Drogba''.He's strong,He's aggressive and he's got a left foot like a lump hammer. He has the brute strength of Heskey and the channelled aggression of Ian Wright which in effect is Drogba. He is currently the best header of a ball in the premiership,If Liverpool can deliver the right balls onto his head then he can do serious damage. Will we see the best of him this season,I don't think so.Long term,I definitely think so.Do I think the Carroll/Suarez partnership is potentially devastating, yes I do.I'll tell you why.Luis Suarez is a livewire, anything that either Andy Carroll controls,or anything that bounces off Andy Carroll,Luis Suarez will be onto it like a shot,Andy Carroll at times will only have to stand still for Luis Suarez to create and finish chances. However I still think Liverpool need wingers to improve the overall project.Have Liverpool got the architect to complete the project.Yes,I'll tell you why,Kenny Dalglish signs players for positions not reputations. If he signs players, they are signed because they specialise in a specific position. There will be no Niko Krancjars or Michael Carrick or Bruno Cheyrou signings.Kenny does not make pointless signings. Some people say that his most important signing as Blackburn manager was Alan Shearer,In my opinion it wasn't,He built around Alan Shearer by signing players for positions.Personally I believe his most important signings in no particular order, were David Batty,Stuart Ripley,Colin Hendry and Chris Sutton and Tim Flowers.
The same as Torres wasn't worth ã50M. In my opinion Torres was overpriced by ã20M with the way he was playing and the bad attitude and sulking. I also don't think Carroll was worth ã35M but the market was overvalued and we only paid the extra amount for him that Chelsea gave us. That extra ã20M was basically a gift from Chelsea to Newcastle.
Andy Carroll at 22 cost approximately 3 million more than what Man United paid for 28 year old Dimitar Berbatov. So looking at it that way.Andy Carroll wasn't really all that pricey. Was Torres worth 50 million. He was to Liverpool, and it was them that dictated the price as the selling club, was he worth it on form and performances.Definitely not.I do agree that based on that Liverpool screwed them for 20 million.I also agree that the market is over-valued and over-priced.Espcecially when it comes to players that are the same nationality of the league. Its the reason why clubs pay over the odds on English players. Its the reason why Liverpool held Real Madrid to ransom over Xabi Alonso.Liverpool got 34 million for Alonso for the simple reason,he's Spanish.Real Madrid were short on their Spanish quota. They needed Spaniards. If Michael Carrick was French Spurs would have never have got 18.6 million for him,or Portsmouth would have never got 18.5 million for Glen Johnson if he wasn;t English. But in reality Portsmouth never got 18.5 million in cash for Glen Johnson as they had 7 million outstanding on the Crouch transfer, they owed Liverpool 7 million.
