Anybody tried navigating around it yet? Good Luck, it's appalling. Fixture lists especially, where the days are no longer split up, so all fixtures run into one another. Horrible colour scheme and layout and, crucially, won't play on older browsers, like my IE6 at work. Having said that, our own page seems to be a great improvement. Pointless exercise in tinkering for it's own sake IMO.
Its probably been redesigned in Salford to be Mancunian friendly. Another waste of the licence payers money after relocating vast numbers of staff and expensive presenters to the northwest. One day somebody from the public accounts committee will be required to explain how much money they have been profligate with.
I'm with you on this Tewkes. The fixtures bit is awful. I prefer to see day by day over the course of the next week showing me all competitions like it did previously.
I've had another look. I think I like it. One thing. It'd be nice if the graphs for the stats were in the club colours, eg red and black for this match [removed]
Tweakes If you like the old layout, you can always hang out in the less popular pages http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/northern_ireland/gaelic_games/default.stm
It's been dodgy for the past couple of days, spitfire, especially the 'local' pages - my Dad looked for the local news last night and got the news for Yorkshire...
It's honestly too yellow. Like, hurting my eyes looking at the page sort of yellow. A smaller complaint is that you have to scroll all the way down the football page to choose a league, rather than it being easily accessible on a sidebar. I dunno, it could be worse....but eh.
Seems like they've tried to cram too much in, very ugly and not well organised at all. There was actually nothing wrong with the previous BBC layout.
And just under 'Scores, Results etc' on the right hand side is an option for choosing League 1 recent fixtures and results. Same with the table. And you can do it while you're still looking at John Terry's face.
