I've never said that I'm the only true fan. Your assumptions are astounding. I've said it doesn't look good, I can see the situation. We're six points off of 4th spot, but there are 16 games to go. So we still have a chance. You might not share that view, that's your choice. It makes no difference to mine
I know what he means, but there is no basis for what he's saying, there's no sign that we are going to somehow get better as time goes, we have gotten worse as game has gone by, in the last month we have won 1 in 6, so on what basis can we say oh there's so many points and games up for grabs? Why should we be confident that it will somehow turn around rather than continue to get worst? There is NO REASON WHATSOEVER to suddenly believe a major turn around is coming.
That's the worrying thing at the moment, we're just not able to put in a good performance for the whole 90 mins. We should have been 2 up at HT tonight, but we watsed two golden chances. Second half we just seemed to tire and lack the right energy for the fight. Even with RVP hitting the woodwork twice (the chip onto the bar would have been a goal fit to win any game) we were fortunate to come away with a point in the end. I think we're playing well in patches, but we need to be able to apply that to the whole game.
Ramsey also showed once again why he does not deserve to be in the starting 11, another terrible performance by him.
The thing is mate, and you might disagree, but we're never that far off. The margins are fine and in the last few games we've played, we should have come away with more points. It's not like we're being played off the park at all, in fact the pattern of most games is that we do most of the attacking, create most of the chances and look likely winners, but we end up conceding goals through silly mistakes. So I don't think we need a major turn around, I think we need to be able to take our chances and see out games. I still think we can do that in the games that remain, so that's why I remain optimistic.
I agree, it doesn't look good at all and we're definitely going to need to improve on our results. It's frustrating, because we should have won this game tonight.
This season is fast becoming a write off. Complete and utter disaster approaching unless something drastic happens soon. That is all.
