Only Djibril Cisse out of that list excites me mate. Most of the others, inc the other Cisse, are unproven in the EPL as well. Pav might have been ok but my guess is if wouldn't play outside London. None of The rest are goalscorers are they? The only one I'd have gambled on is the lad Rhodes from Huddersfield, as he is a natural poacher and I'd have gone a good £5m or £6m up front on him. He will go somewhere in the summer for much more imo. Billy Sharp 28/29 now and not value. Gyan will back in the summer imo and this argument will be ended once and for all then. Have faith lads. Mon wants a striker the same as us but he wants the right one, not just anyone.
Billy Sharpe is only 25 btw, but i never wanted him anyway. Jordon Rhodes, great stats but never seen 1 minute of football from him, so no idea what hes like. I think most of us are just that used to Keane/Bruce windows we were expecting/hoping for something a bit more, didnt Keane bring in 6 players on the last day in the 1st Jan window we were in the PL, we have been spoilt a bit, so its probably a shock to the system with only getting 2 defenders on loan, and 1 who hasnt been very good for all intents and purposes (he cant get a game anyway) for the best part of 3 years. As long as we dont get relegated, I dont really care, but the way we are fighting for results, why cant we get 6th-7th, its not out of the realms of possibilty (highly unlikely but still possible) and its not like we are chasing Man U for the position, its only Newcastle and Liverpool.
agree with Murrays Out, everyone says we need a striker- our goal difference suggests otherwise - I cannot recall more goals coming from midfield.
This A striker would have of course been nice. What MON has to do is bring in one who fits us, and how he sees us playing in the future. That takes time and thankfully since MON has been here we now have that time.
Never a truer word has been said........ I'n keeping out of all this and remaining silent on the board for the past 4-5 days...... MoN has been let down aswell as the the fans............... Signings//////////////well lets just say............de-flated is a word.........so im keeping low. A win now will sort some of it out....................but not impressed.
