Terry to be tried as a racist in July 2012 - surely he cannot play in the Euros?

Having Terry in the squad could cause a potential divide in the players and be destructive to team morale.

Terry shouldnt play, in my opinion........But then again terry should have already been tried whilst this is all fresh in the news..... Not really fair that Suarez gets tried when its all current and Terry gets tried when everyone is talking about the Olympics......

The funny part is if Terry is found guilty the max sentence is a £2,500 fine! <doh>. I'd assume the FA would slap at least a 10 game ban on him too but I bet they give less than what they gave to Suarez.

I am in no way backing Terry here but the Terry and Suarez cases are very different. Suarez admitted calling Evra a racist name and his defence being that this is ok in his country. Terry is saying that he hasnt done anything wrong at all (clearly not what i saw on TV). Whilst I agree Terry being in the England squad will undoubtedly cause unrest and a divide in the dressing room, this is not a reason for the FA to ban him. That decision can and maybe should be made by Capello not the FA.

Personally I dont even think he is good enough to be in the team let alone be Captain.

I imagine him to pass that test with flying 'colour's <whistle>, having made such an excellent job of it in 2011! :D

Yes the FA would then ban him, if the FA ban him first then this could be seen, as it is a high profile case, as influencing the courts decision. Hense why the FA havent and cant do anything yet.

  6. I'm hopeful that someone at FA HQ will have a quiet word in Capello's ear.

This could be Dawson's chance to captain England. He'd certainly make us proud.

The FA would cause all sorts of problems by having their own inquiry before the CPS complete their trial, it not only makes sense not take action now but it's the only option.
