    Morning All,

According to Grayson, the difference last last was the finishing! Well Simon, finishing is actually an important part of the game. If we outscore out opposition each week to can go and play with the big boys (and norwich)....

Grayson also stated after the match that we may have to stick with the players we have and 'is not sure whether he can afford to add to his squad when the emergency transfer window opens'...

AOB is back training with us. Apparantly its OK to stick two fingers up at us because he had depression. I'm not mocking, I've been there, and waking up each day having anxiety attacks, unable to even open up your post, and feeling worthless, I wouldn't wish that on my worse enemy.

So, who on here is going to renew there season ticket for next season?

Morning... Totally shell shocked with yesterdays result, I did have a bad feeling that problems were disguised somewhat with our last three outings being against ten men for the most part of it. I think a few of us are living in a dream world thinking we are anywhere near promotion material. We have Townsend and Delph on loan, are they better than Johnson/Howson and Gradel? I don't believe so and does it matter when they are going back??

Surely the correct route is to make less loan signings and more permanent ones, it seems that we can't afford the wages of first choice loans anyway so we are left with the unwanteds. We only need another couple of defeats and you have to question is it even worth extending the loan of Delph if that is even an option. So many questions as to why funds are not being released, if they are why does it seem we are wasting them on wrong areas and not sorting out the basics of defending.

More bollocks from Bates and grayson regarding transfers. Didn't expect anything, wasn't disappointed.
I listened to the game last night and thought we started well, but the pace of burke and height of their forward foooked us up.

    Morning Elland,

I think Simon seems to be blind to the fact that good defending can prevent good finishing. We failed to cut out the crosses, and no-one was anywhere near the beanpole to even think about stopping him. Bad defending all the way for me. So what if he's really tall? Ever tried to head a ball with the top of someone's head (or their arm) smashing into your jaw? Got to be close to do that, though!

Still think AOB is getting a second chance only because Gary Speed (RIP) died of the same disease in such a high profile manner. There was no way the club would win the tribunal. Simple as that - forget about any other reason offered.

And though it has pained me, I did the unthinkable yesterday and didn't renew, as my own little protest about the Bates/Grayson regime. I felt terrible right up until the second half, when I realised there might be benefits in not sitting through that crap next season. I'll be happy to buy one (sadly at a higher price) if we have a convincing clearout of the crap we've accumulated, plus some really worthwhile signings (I'm not holing my breath).

Morning all. Can't believe Zigic managed to put four past us. He'd only scored four all season before today!

Every dog has it's day. Especially when they play against us at the moment. White was told to get tighter on burke, but seems not to have been able to or not to have listened.

Last night was an odd one. I wasn't there, so can't comment 100%, but seemed we reversed the recent trend and played well but lost, and I'm really not sure what that means for our season. We're still only 3 points outside the play-offs and Adam Smith is a great signing, but we didn't get a new CB... but when AOB is 100% and on form he's a very good player... but he's very rarely 100% and on form and is recovering from depression... really have no idea what to think. The longer we stay in touch, the better, as we always have a good final run in and we've got a few easier games coming up.

I know all players expect to get stick but AOB in a Leeds shirt again Mmmmm. Will the home fans be forgiving if he has a stinker or costs us a win with a glaring mistake? How will he cope with away fans getting on his back?? We managed 7 points in three games against 10 men. We got stuffed well and truly last night I know you should always have faith in your team but we are poor at the moment, only a Leeds supporter will believe we can go up, ask a thousand neutrals and we won't be a team they feel has a real chance. I just feel we have been set back a good two years with the goings on at present.

None of us expect to keep Snodgrass come the new season, we will be left with Clayton, Brown, Pugh, Nunez and we are banking our hopes on Smith at RB and that he will sign a contract with us come the end of the season. Is it all down to tight Bates or a mix of Bates and Grayson wasting money. I just feel us fans are deserve far better.

We started the season thinking okay, we have a good strike force in Somma, Becchio and McCormack. We have a decent midfield in Gradel, Snodgrass, Howson/Nunez/Brown/Clayton and we were hoping for good things from Kisnorbo. We will be starting next season realistically losing Snodgrass thinking okay we have a decent RB and a CM in Clayton and hoping the strikers (Becchio) can find his scoring boots, what a massive step backwards.

When we first came up I was hoping for one hot signing to replace the departing Beckford and maybe a defender or creative midfielder. It never happened but we exceeded what I felt was achievable and I sat and hoped again that we would sign someone in the January window. You would logically expect that any team of our status would be capable of adding one piece of quality each transfer window, it just does not happen though, we replace departed players with loans and those we sign (Pugh) are average minus.

Is this solely Bates fault or is Grayson wasting too much on garbage, I am starting to blame both.

Grayson's had no money to waste, and you can't expect him to sign quality when he's having to go for his 3rd or 4th choice. We've spent less on transfers than anyone else in the division and have one of the smallest wage bills yet are 3 points outside the play-offs. How would you react if Everton sacked Moyes?

I know and I agree and I hear what you are saying Simon but if we had wasted less on the likes of O'Dea, Forssell, Keough, Bruce, Mikka and the umpteen loans we brought in last season (and never used half of them) maybe we could afford one or two decent permanent ones.

There is NO excuse for the way Bates is strangling us with finances, however IF Grayson wishes to remain in the job and not risk losing it by demanding more funds then he needs to use the little he does have more wisely. I think the majority of quality managers would have walked by now, I would fear who would be willing to work under Bates and how would we do with someone else but on the same note I wouldn't feel sad to see Grayson go.

In another thread you said you BELIEVE Grayson had £2million to spend in this window.

It's easy to say that looking back on things, but at the time we felt we needed signings.

We don't have any players taller then 6'2', certainly won't help us with set pieces or defending. AOB, can't see it working. Everybody needs to take a stand. Was there any protesting last night???

Yes, that to me is limited funds. Say we buy a player for 1mil, then we have around 20k a week to spend in wages for that same player, this doesnt include agent's fees and others as well. Some of this money could have also been spent on Delph and Smith
