Gareth Bale is the best player in the premier league at the moment, and is up there close with the best players in the world, plus he has his best years ahead of him. SAF should do everything he can to sign him in the summer.

    Anyone else agree?

Nope, on current form I think Valencia is better than Bale. Plus Bale is injury prone, but I wouldn't mind if we signed him. I wouldn't care if we didn't sign him though.

While Bale is good, Valencia is my choice for UTD

A very good player but considering the injuries he has had, he wouldn't be worth the money we'd have to spend.

Bale has that ability to win games on his own when others around him aren't performing. Valencia is class too, but not sure he has that ability.

Not sure it matters what we think we cannot afford him, he will be going to City, Chelsea or Spain if he moves, nobody else could afford his fee or wages.

    yeah,forgot about him.Superb player.
It's very subjective to say that a certain player is better than another one when they play in different positions.Like Vidic is a better defender than Messi, but Messi is a better striker than Vidic...the one's who get all the awards are the one's that score the goals.Very stupid.

Silva is the best player in the league - on his day he's unplayable. Makes the impossible, possible.

The difference is you know what you're going to get from Bale and he's too left footed to be considered the best. Silva is so unpredictable and can make teams look pathetic on his own.

Yes, but since YaYa has been in the ACN, Silva has looked a little out of sorts.

    This <ok>

Valencia has also managed eight assists in 15 games whilst Bale has seven in 22. And that's with Valencia playing a fair few of those games as RB. Different players and different styles, so difficult to compare them tbh.

Don't think either of them can claim to be the best in the league, but then they are probably two of the players in top form at the moment with Silva, Rooney, RVP etc all a bit off the boil atm.

He wasn't poor,he was ok.Not easy when the rest of the team is playing poor.
If you took him out of the team,Man city wouldn't finish in top 4.

I meant on current form, not in general. Over the last month or so Silva has been injured and when fit, not at his best. Valencia has been going past defenders with ease and creating chances.

But overall I think RVP is the best player in league at the moment. If he was injured, Arsenal would be relegation fodder. If David Silva was injured, City would still be in the race for a top 4 finish.

I think Yay Toure is better than Silva, not as attacking, but I think he's a bigger player for City than Silva is.
