    OK we didnt beat Citeh

But Im a a big Dirk fan
Underated for me ,excellent movement off the ball, and excellent underated football brain, reads game very well , only fault is occasional bad first touch

Leave him right side too, if he plays

Wasnt excellent tonight, underplayed 1st half of season, gives us goals from midfield when he plays there

I do think he needs to do a touch more to be honest.

Last year, he scored goals which helped keep him in the team, but if he isn't scoring then he doesn't really create many chances either. Yes you won't fnid a harder worker player in the Prem but that alone shouldn't get him a 1st team place every game.

2 goals in last 2 games though so can't complain with that. Let's hope he finds a bit of goal scoring form from now until the end of the season.

Even when he doesn't score I think he's a solid player for us, especially with Johnson pushing up. Kuyt's a bit more balanced and covers well for him. He's got a good footballing brain, makes good runs and is one of our most experienced outfield players when Gerrard's not playing. Still got a role to play in this team

Looks like he has won his place back from Downing, and with the extra time on the pitch, he is starting to get his mojo back, pity Maxi hasn't takent he bull by the horns, now that he is getting the odd chance.

I'm happy for Dirk because I thought his time was up but his movement and ability to score goals is finally coming back.

I've always felt that Maxi often drifts in and out of matches. He has good movement and intelligence but I don't think he contributes enough and will go missing.

Very happy with Kuyt for the last few games he has looked like his old self because lets be honest he has been poor for the most part this season.

Can still play an important roll for us <ok>

Is it me or does Dirk seem to have a purple patch in the second half of the season. Most of those important goals always come at the business end of the season. The fact that both he he and Carroll seem to have found some sort of form only means its a matter of time we fix that goal difference and go for 4th

I hope these two can continue contributing to the team, added with Suarez coming back and I think we can really push for 4th.

We do need more consistency though, we need back to back wins. I think we have only managed to win 2 games on the bounce this season (please correct me wrong?).

We need to beat Spurs, it is one of the fixtures that can determine 4th place finish. I think Spurs are going to end up in the top four, possibly 3rd position and the last position to be taken by Chelsea, Liverpool or Arsenal. The following fixtures are very important.
    1.Liverpool vs Tottenham.
    2.Arsenal vs Manchester United.
    3.Chelsea vs Tottenham
    4.Liverpool vs Arsenal
    5.Arsenal vs Tottenham.
    6.Manchester United vs Liverpool
    7. Chelsea vs Manchester United.
    <ok>
Liverpool outsiders for the 4th place until they occupy that position in the league which could be achieved by the end of February

Looks good but we as a team need to make sure we capitalise. Chelsea and Arsenal have dropped so many points this season but we still find ourselves 4 points behind.

he played a bit better last night and he needs to keep improving cos to be honest his game slipped badly. He needs to bust a gut to hold a space in the team but v the spuds.... you just need him to stay wide right and help johnson with bale.

Eight match ban of Suarez can be a blessing in disguise for:
1.Suarez had little rest during summer..He used that for much needed rest.
2.Possibly a kick on the backside for Andy Carroll..he starts to play well now.
Hoping there is no player with a long time injury before the end of the season, we can finish fourth.<ok>
