This was presumably an unusual gathering, as clearly not a gathering of ST holders randomly selected, but those who had been with Saints Foundation out in Africa (and well done to them). Among those some were not ST holders so The Don tries to flog them one. Like his style!

Yeah it was kind of an apology offering for not making it out to Kenya with us in the end due to personal and business commitments.

    I certainly forgave him :)

Do find it funny that you're expecting more news from FLT. He's more reluctant to tell you anything incase he upsets Nicola than I am, so I've got it all out there for him :)

And thank you for it, UTS. I think ol' FLT is slightly enjoying stringing us along. ;)

Yesterday, I came to the conclusion that I'd got enough info, from yourself, to satisfy me.

you're a cheeky bugger .... good job you're bigger than me UTS :) and as for upsetting Nicola or not, maybe I'm more of a gentleman than you :)

as I said all along, I have nothing drastic, however I have answers to some of the specific qustions that were asked (some of which has already been put out there).

Second Stain - no stringing along, just only been able to post from hand held and document is on PC.

    Hi Guys

Nothing drastic, but some of your questions were answered during the evening and detailed by questonee below:

For me he filled me with confidence that he will drive this company (his term) forward and run it like a coroporation. My favourite moment was, when during an explanation, he used the words "This club will never be relegated again while I am at the helm, from any league" I interupted him at this point and politely asked that he just say that one sentence again as it was so sweet to hear!

Chilco Saint -Please ask Nicola about future plans for increasing capacity at St. Mary's when we're in the Prem! How will it work etc
The stadium capacity can be increased by 15,000; no time scale was mentioned. Next season will see an introduction of a new and modernised ticketing system

Saint Greg 10 - Are the Liebherr family looking to sell the club anytime soon?
Mr Cortese said there was no plan discussed with Markus to sell the club. He was pushed harder at this point as to what to would happen if a large investor turned up and offered a good ROI and he stated again that there was no plan to sell the club

JentheSaint - i'd ask about the new fa academy structure and what class we are going to be; could ask him about the training ground and how its coming along?
The academy was discussed and it was mentioned that several clubs have been looking to copy the Saints model, including some people top clubs) who doubted the Southampton way would suceed. A large emphasis is put on the boys’ education with six full time teachers

Work at the training ground has started and bull-dozers will be moving in over the next couple of months
ReubenAgbola - Who is his favourite player?

Nicola didn’t think it fair to answer this one, but did say that Markus really liked Papa Waigo, and admitted he lied him too. He told us that Papa loved Saints so much that he wanted to come back and even left belongings at the club until just a few months back.
Thattheresaintsfan - Ask him if he wants a song sung about him by the fans or if he's jealous of the ones who get their own songs
The subject of that song did come up, but we moved on quickly, despite one offer to sing it for him. It came across to me that Nicola prefers to keep out of the limelight.

Saintadam1981 - Does he understand the offside rule? always wondered how much he actually knows about the actual game
I didn’t actually ask this question directly, but it is clear that he has a detailed understanding of football clubs and how they are run, prior to joining Saints and a good understanding of the game-Dan - As well as questions about implementing youngsters into the first team, I'd like to know about our transfer policy regarding first teamers like Lallana and Lambert - I assume we've received offers for both (if teams weren't offering for Lallana at a League One team they're mental) so I'd like to know if our policy is firmly "Shut up and go away", whether it's "Wait and see if we get a fair offer" or if we're going "If you want our players, you pay double what they're worth". Evidence suggests the latter but I'm programmed to be nervous!
Again, a question not asked directly, but from meeting him and listening to him, I am confident that no player we didn’t want to leave, would leave without the company receiving more than a good price!

Saintsbornagain - I think if I had the chance to talk to him rather than a question I would apologise for booing him when his face appeared on the big screen at the Johnsons Paint Trophy final at Wembely. Looking back it would have made him feel like cr*p especially after we he just cheered Marcus. I and a lot of others were wrong and just say that I expect 99% of fans totally love him now like me and appreciate what he has done for this club.

I was wrong..... I hold my hands up but it was hard to trust anyone given what we had before him!

I emailed this statement to his PA and he now wants your address!!!!!
DanW - Which position does he hope to address/upgrade during the January transfer window?
He didn’t commit to commenting on targets or positions. He did however say that in this and the last transfer windows, Saints had had substantial offers accepted by clubs, but not followed through with the purchase of the player as the wage demand would have broken the Saints pay structure. This was great to hear and emphasised when he talked about the Tadanari Lee signing. Lee could have joined other clubs on better money however his advisors were sold on the presentations from Saints and that this must be the club for him.
Scheiderlinisthegoalking - Ask him what his favourite food is.... I didn’t, but the quality of the food on the night was excellent
Channon walked on H2O - My question would have to be - so what was it in Nigel Adkins' CV that made you go for him when there would have been much bigger names you could have gone for?
He was keen to answer this question with a very simple answer; he wanted a manager who “bought into” his vision for the company and showed energy, enthusiasm and possessed excellent motivational skills. Trophies and medals were not even under consideration – the person had to be correct based on the attributes mentioned.
Saintsfan4life - Why was Pardew sacked? (unlikely to be answered but worth a shot)

Mr Pardew didn’t share the same vision for the company. There were some other suggestions made around the table and the look on his face said it all.
