We are unbeaten in the last league game of every month this season (4 wins, 2 draws). The last league game of February is home to Southampton......
But thats nowhere near as funny. Poor guys. At least they dont even try, thats better than trying and just saying Kac.
Sean Dyche isn't a man known for conveying emotion in his voice, but I can really hear the pride in his voice right now. Almost sounds as though he's struggling to hold back the tears.
Quite right that he should be proud tonight. He has a team meeting two hours before the game and Marvin is still going to play. He has to change the tactics to suit the players he has and then play in the hostile surroundings of the Den. He said that today was the most difficult day he had ever had in football. This whole transfer deadline day needs sorting.
KJ is now an experienced manager, whereas SD is in his first season. There were doubts about him being up to the job at the start of the season, and there is still a long way to go, but I suspect that many Watford fans will admire him for the job he is doing in very difficult circumstances.
Difficult circumstances is the right phrase. Can you imagine how BR would have reacted if Jimmy Russo told him that he wasn't allowed to pick a player two hours before the game? Malky and Ray Lewington had players sold above their heads and saw very little of it back, but to my knowledge neither of them had a matchday affected in quite the way that Dyche did today.
a great result, well done SD for a fantastic job today, really really tough...and although Loach seems to have been at fault for the penalty, he saved it!! His first league penalty save, i'm sooo thrilled for him Let the haters eat their words!
Great effort by the lads...good to see our main strikers scoring. Be funny if Marvin wasn't to leave now having seen Deeney and Garner score. Give them a chance and good service might lead to a decent partnership...they'll work more than Marvin does. Well done Loach as well. Nice end to a tricky day..
Wasn't too great a match to be honest..... Attendance was appalling....probably the worst I've ever seen at this level. Watford's away following was quite decent though . Generally our defence was solid for the first 80 minutes...Millwall's wasn't nearly as solid and as well as that our strikers were more clinical....both teams had chances but Millwall didn't take them. Henderson was especially wasteful....Loach saving his pointblank shot and his penalty...and the penalty was not his fault, so many Watford players fell asleep and did not react to a ball they should have cleared. Generally it was a midfield slug with too many headers all over the place...but when we got the ball down we played some nice football and created good chances. Note to Eustace....stop with the curling chancers!....did not work all game...he should have made better use of the ball. No real faults other than the penalty....we played ok but will need to do better against better opposition if we want to get anything.
Thanks for that Mad Moose ...good to know it wasn't Loach's fault for the goal. The header thing really gets to me too! We're too short to be playing headball! A good 3 points though..and thanks to Doris for missing a couple of good chances
