Actually we have all been having a good laugh at rangers dire financial situation and the looming threat of administration, recievership or liquidation. Now, of course , I accept that - even in the worst case scenario - rangers will never truly " disappear " perhaps re-emerging as a new entity in a lower league. However, it might be wise to pause for a reality check and soberly take stock of the worrying consequences this may have for the scottish game. I have been thinking about this a lot recently and I can honestly say that I would laugh like **** and probably never be able to stop.
I was about to post something similar but you did it far more eloquently than I could. A Newco won't be Rangers. They will be reminded of this at every opportunity. Administration is the best case scenario here. That is 3 years no yoorup for the Huns. That is the first and most important consequence for Scotch fitba. Receivership will mean liquidation. Starting newco in the 3rd division is very generous. I saw earlier that Venom dismissed the notion the Huns could face action if found guilty in the tax case. I think there is a strong case there. A pointless one, as suing someone without an arse in their breeches is pointless. I'd have no qualms at all about taking the trophies owed to us and nor should any other side in line for one. The integrity of the game is at stake. I go to see Derry city a good bit. They got into the CL when Shels got ****ed out. Then Derry got demoted and thrown out of europe for starting again as a new team. Most Derry fans agree they got off lightly. Back in contention now with a young and exciting side.
Did what I say constitute a complaint? Anyone know what is happening over on ff? Is the penny dropping yet?
I thought you were on there. I was going to ask. I'm guessing they've turned on each other like rabid dogs and anyone with less than 1,000 posts will be outed as a dirty tarrier bastard and banned.
No sympathy , if it was the other way round , would the Huns be worried about Scottish football ??? No they only worry about themselves , lets enjoy the ride and let them get what they deserve they wont be missed
Exactly Harry ... **** them! Don't remember anybody other than Celtic fans worrying when Celtic where in the finacial ****ter! Did Donald Findlay not even hope to see a supermarket in place of Celtic Park? So, **** them...
The Huns are in meltown over FF way. Accusing each other of being Taigs, fighting like **** etc. It's funny as ****.
I loved the old 606 after the Huns had to justify something. The first couple of hours after an incident happening they'd desperately root around trying to justify ****. Then, as if by magic, they'd all tow the party line. I don't know if an edict gets issued from Edmiston Drive or what, but after the word got out, nobody would ever again stray from the party whip. You see it with things like the Collum no look penalty photo. That photo is now used as rock solid, concrete evidence that Collum could see something he couldn't see and that big Dan committed a foul he didn't commit. The adherence to the party whip is admirable in a way, but also irritating as it means that real life actual logic is impenetrable into the monkey mindset. You had it on here last night with willis insisting that Boyd was the "best goalscorer in the history of the SPL" and this was supported by statistics. A pointless argument, but indicative of the adherence to the party whip. Of course he isn't the best goalscorer in the history of the SPL. That is a nonsense. He does have more SPL goals than anyone else....Anyway, that is besides the point. The funniest time for me is always in that period of scramble before the party line can get trotted out. I think this mess is so big that it is going to take a good bit of time for that line to be made clear. we all saw this coming, didn't we? we all said it was coming, didn't we? Did they not believe it because it was Timmy saying it, or did they secretly know and have a party line all ready for us tomorrow morning? I do hope not.
A lad was on (right turn) Clyde earlier extending his .....empathy at best. The next caller, william said "we don't want or need your sympathy"......meh.
Are You Going To Renew Your Book? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Had my book for more years than I can remember but I've decided today that while this Charlatan sham of a chairman is at the helm I'll not be renewing. Absolutely gutted at the prospect of not being able go week in week out next season, but enough is enough. Just walk now Whyte, walk now before you totally ruin our club. Had mine for over 17 years, followfollowed through the dark days of Eck & PLG home and away but not a chance I'll be forking out £450 before the summer transfer window opens when there appears to be a high chance of us heading for administration therefore selling our best players and being left with the mince / fringe players. If the quality departs the squad, then ST prices should reflect this by being reduced. I'll be waiting until a few days before the season starts before deciding what I'll do with my ST as I'm confident that my seat will still be free come the opening game of the season Shotters Nation View Public Profile Send a private message to Shotters Nation Find all posts by Shotters Nation Add Shotters Nation to Your Contacts #25 Today, 19:54 dereksmallsloyal Somewhere between fire and ice Join Date: 28-07-2006 Posts: 1,879 Re: Are You Going To Renew Your Book? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote: Originally Posted by willboy2412 I think our chairman will be in for a wee shock if he doesnt replace Jelavic He doesn't give a **** about us
