Yes, am just glad we seem to slowly be getting back on track again......and thank you Ipswich, thank you.

 

I agree, the second half was more like the Saints towards the start of the season.

 

Ipswich doing us a big favour with goal difference, 5-1 FT

 

Disappointed we couldn't get a winner. But WHU got thumped 5-1.

 

Sounded like Lallana getting back to his old self

 

I'm feeling that if Sharp was on the pitch we would have won

 

That's a good result. Very good team, and we're off form. Can't complain about a point.

Birmingham won 4-1 .

They only beat Leeds. Not like thats much of an achievement.

 

Would be nice if we can stuff Leeds at home like that.

18 games left and I think if we can make 80 points that would see us up, a tight year this.

 

A missed opportunity but very important not to lose tonight. Still second and closing on West Ham. Think we are still looking good for it. Don't like the look of free-scoring Birmingham, but we have to play the other promotion chasers sometime. Our new signings will fire us on.

 

Adkins is saying that we should have had 3 pens having watched the replays. FFS!

 

When asked if all the transfer business had finished he said "I think Tevez is upstairs!"

 

Obviously luck not with us tonight, but a point is OK when you go one behind to the team snapping at your heels. Important thing is what do Cardiff look like..are they contenders? We're not in the form as at beginning of the season but this result can stop the rot.

 

Just to reinforce what could have happened (also known as stating the blooming obvious), we could have been third (two points behind Cardiff and 5 points behind West Ham). So not the best day at the office but very far from the worst.

 

Kris Temple has just used the Radio Solent Twitter account to tweet:

"Kris here - just seen penalty shouts on video. With benefit of replays, #Saintsfc probably could've had three out of the three shouts"

 

Only concern was Jason going off again on the hour. Hope it is just because he needs the match time and a bit more time to regain full fitness. Adam looked a bit like his old self and caused their defence some squeaky bum moments. If only he had a better shot.

Should have had at least one more penalty and looked like Kelvin was blocked for their goal.

Overall a much better second half and signs of us returning to form.
