Thoughts United fans? I know he has had a lot of problems but he was meant to be a massive prospect. Sad to see him go or good riddance?
Glad to see him go to be honest, trouble seems to follow him. I wish him well but somehow I don't think he will ever reach his potential.
No disrespect to West Ham, but the club he has joined tells you a lot about the lad. Even Gibson and Obertan managed to move to an established PL team when they left. He's got the talent, but his attitude means no top club wants to touch him.
It speaks volumes for his ego/stupidity that he was actually offered a pro contract by United - which any other young player would snap up - and turned it down to go to...West Ham. Apparently there's no buy back option in the contract, so Fergie must want his hands completely washed of him.
The world's gone mad. He's done more for United playing one game for Everton than he ever did in all those games he actually played for you!
To be fair he played a big role in the LC win in 2010 and scored a goal that almost sent us through against Bayern in the CL that same year. But yeah, this one might top the lot! I always thought he would do well if he got a consistent run in a team and learnt to deal with the pressure in a PL midfield. He showed quality when he played for us, but always seemed to struggle with the pace of the game, and getting pressed by opponents.
