I got the impression we are his preferred destination. Lets iron out the creases Danny, but remember, don't ask for too much on your first day, it aint saintly.
BBC Radio 5 live senior football reporter Ian Dennis on Twitter: "Matt Upson will stay at Stoke if Danny Higginbotham leaves #SCFC. A lot of Championship clubs keen on Higginbotham #bbcfootball" Could we be one of the Championship clubs?
I think this will be up there for most bizarre move of the day - Louis Saha from Everton to Spurs. Tweet below on BBC sport: Louis Saha from Everton to Spurs now looking a done deal. Really intriguing move that. #bbcfootball
See West Ham are signing Ravel Morrison. Didn't know him so googled him. Glad we didn't get him..not saintly. Various arrests including domestic abuse and links to guns and drugs. Was warned if he was involved again he would face 12 months sentence. Probably the usual case of lad from rough background with dubious friends.
Hes not a striker, more of an attacking midfielder. A couple of years ago Fergie was reported as saying that Morrison is the best 16 year old he'd seen in his years at Old Trafford and had infinite potential, as Fran says though he clearly has off the field problems and a bad attitude which will probably mean he never fulfills his potential.
Man U were apparently quite accommodating of his difficult upbringing, but he still behaved atrociously and they must have lost patience with him. It's a shame as he's very talented. I somehow doubt letting him loose in the East End will improve his character, but you never know.
May be good to get him away from his old friends in Manchester, though he will need taking under somebody's wing. Just glad he's not here.
It could be useful to corner the market in strikers to stop others having them. Saints wouldn't be cruel...we'd let them roam free in a paddock at Staplewood.
