1243: DONE DEAL Leeds United have signed Tottenham's England under-21 international defender Adam Smith on loan until the end of the season.

Is that the lad who played for MK Dons in the cup? If so a good looking player and a step up even at Leeds!!!!

12.57pm: Djibril Cisse has arrived in Shepherd's Bush and, after spending a few minutes marvelling at how many fried chicken shops there are on Shepherd's Bush Road, is now at QPR'

Work permit issues preventing Zamora leaving Fulham for QPRFulham have targeted Pavel Pogrebnyak as chief replacement for Bobby Zamora

Bobby Zamora has had a fractious relationship for much of the season with Martin Jol and he has now been offered a way out of Fulham by former manager Mark Hughes at QPR.

Zamora was the focal point of many Fulham attacks last season under Hughes and the Welsh manager is eager for the striker to perform similar duties across London at QPR.

New boss Jol would not prevent Zamora leaving given the differences they have had and if rumours are true that the fee is around £8m, this would seem good money for a 30-year-old.

However, with Fulham already short of strikers in their squad, Jol seems slightly reluctant to allow Zamora to leave without having a ready-made replacement sorted.

Pavel Pogrebnyak seems to be Jol’s number-one target and is available from Stuttgart for £3m following a lengthy period of injury troubles and a lack of goals.

But with the Russian not having a work permit as yet to enter the UK, the deal is currently being held up, while Fulham are still making a final decision as to whether to risk signing a player known for having knee troubles.

It would be no surprise to see this chain of transfers take until the closing seconds of the window to be confirmed and Zamora will simply be hoping that Hughes is keen to play the waiting game.

Hughes has also been linked with Tottenham’s Roman Pavlyuchenko and could decide to switch allegiances if fearful that the Pogrebnyak deal is in danger of falling through.

    From the Telegragh:

QPR to sign Bobby Zamora from Fulham
Fulham have now accepted an offer from Queens Park Rangers for Bobby Zamora, with the England striker currently in talks over his personal terms.

Zamora played under Mark Hughes at Fulham last season and wants regular football ahead of Euro 2012 but must weigh up the risk of joining a club currently just two points above the relegation zone.

There is expected to be a release clause in any contract with QPR relating to relegation.

Hughes is also hoping to bring former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse to Loftus Road, but have released former fan favourite Martin Rowland.

QPR have agreed a £4m deal to sign Cisse from Lazio.

    From World Soccer!

9:15am: Queens Park Rangers have been busy so far on transfer deadline day. According to Sky Sports News, the deal for Cisse to join QPR on loan from Lazio is a done deal. The other big story is QPR reportedly making a bid for Fulham’s Bobby Zamora. It appears a transfer fee is around £7m rising to £9m with potential add-ons, however the deal is on hold as Zamora is asking for a massive raise, wanting £90,000 a week wages, despite currently earning £45,000/week at Craven Cottage.

    –

9:14am: Wayne Bridge is on his way to Sunderland on loan from Manchester City. Reports are the defender is under going a medical ahead of the deal being finalized.
