Looks like he is heading south from Stoke training ground. All from twitter of course which is 100% accurate on days like these.
Supposedly when he was down here last time he upset one of the staff. He has appologised and will be available tonight if it goes through.
Good thing about these loan deals is, if we go up, there's a good chance we can get them on a permanent, as we will be a competitive prospect. I see Higginbotham is on the market too - I'd have him back to shore up the defence. Plays the same positions as Collins too, no? And good FA Cup pedigree/omen too (ignoring the fact that he didn't make the final for Stoke). Though I suppose he's a crock risk now.
What is it with Stoke, Sunderland, and Saints? There's a pool of players who only seem to like the red and white stripes. And why don't Sheffield United get involved (Billy Sharp doesn't count, as this is purely vertical stripes.)
Only problem is that we are trying to get automatic promotion, we need a centre half who is proven quality. I'm not saying Collins isn't, but now isn't the time to be playing around with defenders to see if they are what we need, in this crucial run in.
Looks like a good signing, Brought in to cover the injured players Hoovfield & Seaborne as a left footed CB. But if his wage is high I can't see him being happy to bench warm. Being Left footed & when fit you will have both Hoover and Collins as Left sided players with Fonte playing Right CB and martin as back up for Fonte. Will we pay big wages for a Stoke player to not play as could be part of the loan condition. Will Hoov be happy to sit on the bench ? When he was gifted the shirt with Seaborne's accident and preferred and played to Martin Then what happens to Martin who has only ever been picked to play when no other CB's are fit ?
I wonder if the deciding factor in him signing was that he looks rather less rotund in vertical rather than horizontal.
thats not strictly true! although has been the case this season, but even then i feel thats only because of the superb form of Hooiveld-Fonte
There was a supposed misunderstanding according to Collins. Do you reckon he tossed his car keys to Cortese and told him to park it
I've just picked up the Higginbotham story too. Always rated him. Good pedigree and very honest player. I seem to recall he left rather regretfully (?). Maybe he'd fancy a second spell by the sea.
Yes, he did. But doesn't count like the other three clubs, whose traffic between each other is immense.
