Celtics failings in recent years has been a mixture of our own fault and shady officials Corruption in football happens, it happens in France, Germany and more recently in Italy These are facts (copywrite BBC606) The lengths that the media would go to deny the same thing happend in Scotland is laughable. I mean if there is an allegation...go investigate....don't just post pictures of lennon looking angry It's every neutral fans cry that "the old firm get everything" yet when a Celtic fan claims the same of rangers its "paranoia" Its the old saying, "you protest too much" that sways me in the biased toward rangers argument If it isn't true why the rush to call Celtic fans paranoid? Motherwell, Falkirk, Aberdeen don't face these charges when they claim bias Who really knows....there is little documented proof to make a case...for me, leaving for the English leagues has always been the answer to the alleged cheating....they really do need us more than we need them
No, generally fans of less successful teams get called "bitter" when they make such claims. The use of "bitterness" is down to the fact that a lack of success is blamed on bigger clubs. Celtic fans are called paranoid because our club has had enormous success but yet every unsuccessful attempt is seen as somehow being cheated. Therefore "paranoia" rather than "bitterness" Have there been bias decisions against Celtic over the years? Undoubtedly (See Cadete and Farry for proof) Is there a sprawling Media/SFA/Masonic cover-up to keep Celtic down? ad nauseum.
Hard to prove, but some things that stick out are Darrell Kings admission that the tax case was held back in the media so as not to upset rangers title challenge that year. Neil Lennon being made to look angry at every opportunity....especially in Australia where he brushed off a stunt by rangers fans, as reported in Australian press yet was FUMING in the Scottish press. Add to that other managers worse behaviour being ignored or laughed at. Lots of odd decisions....Boruc handball in own box, own goal by David Weir given offside Lennon getting harsh punishments yet shame game culprits getting off with a slap on wrist Kind of suspicious....so much so David Tenner even asked Neil McCann on sky if Celtic had a case But I suppose its easier to call fans paranoid than actually have a look at it.....if only Juventus thought of that
Who'd have thought that such a poorly written piece, full of speculation and quotes from bitter ex-directors, could cause the normally level-headed FF contributors to go into meltdown?
we have another headcase on our hands. that's 3 nutjobs from your lot venom. you're in good company MTS with super hooper and harry
1. It's the job of the Scottish press to sell papers in Scotland. If an Old Firm manager sells papers and he does anything that may sell more then they'll exploit it. 2. Bad decisions in OF games. Give it a ****ing rest, we've had plenty ourselves. (Scott MacDonald/Gary Hooper given offside goals as an example) 3. Lennon getting harder punishments was ridiculous. For me that was more to do with Celtic taking on the SFA than any kind of bias against Celtic as a club in general. I have no time or inclination to entertain your persecution complex MTS. Because any conspiracy against Celtic just does not exist. There are people in the Scottish game who may openly or covertly dislike our club. For you to suggest that some sort of fix has been in for years is nothing short of laughable.
Not at all. I just refuse to get lumped in with the Paranoia or Terror Brigades when I'm doing my Celtic supporting.
I'm not asking you too It's just what I believe...not because my daddy told me, but because of observations I've made in the last few years. A couple lucky offsides doesn't really move the scales for me But I'm paranoid
Mts , correct that Boruc decision proved that season was corrupt , yes we all remember the old firm games decision after decision which were debated which went against us , but 1-1 home to Falikirk 8 mins to go , pulled up for kicking the ball up the park , video evidence proved he was two yards inside his own box . 3/4 mins to take free kick , even after that Fortune denied a stonewall penalty , the Falkirk manager May admitted it was a penalty , how many spl managers spoke in our favour that season something dodgy was going on 6 or 7
I can actually accept that corruption exists at all levels of football....its the utter denial that annoys me more...as if it wouldn't happen in Scotland We can have sectarianism, bombs sent to our manager cases of refs conspiring against Celtic....buy no.....bias is a step too far... Ironically I'm trying to be open minded about it
so what about the old firm game that won you the league in 2008. broadfoot sent off harshly for fouling McDonald outside the box and you got a penalty. TO THE EMBASSY!!
Don't remember Was he last man? Was it actually outside the box? Must have been lucky that day, four years ago
theres a conspiracy against rangers and that timposter whyte is at the centre of it oh, ****, how I wish I still could access my follow follow account
it was outside the box, McDonald never had control of the ball and it was a straight red. you have very selective memory dont you harry?
