Shame about ridgewell. Would have been a good cover for CB/LB. I'm guessing we never bid for him. If we did he'd join us for sure, being a fan and all.

Martin Rowlands is set to leave QPR by mutual consent.

An agreement has been reached with the midfielder, who moved to Loftus Road from Brentford in 2003.

Rowlands, 32, made over 200 appearances for the R’s, was a key player in their promotion from the third tier in 2004 and a stand-out performer in the Championship.

But he been blighted by injury problems, and cruciate damage effectively ended his Rangers career – just as he was establishing himself in the Republic of Ireland side.

His last appearance for the club came in this season’s Carling Cup defeat against Rochdale. Since then he has had a spell on loan at Wycombe.

Shame about Rowlands. He deserves a better send off. Ironic that every player aspires to play for their country yet this opportunity pretty much ended his career.

I'm hearing ephraim will go today. Loan with view to perm. Probably back to charlton.

We are "front runners" for Tevez according to this!!

    Craig Kemp

    31 January 2012
Tevez 2/1 to leave Man City as QPR and Liverpool interest remainsA loan move to Liverpool, QPR or even West Ham now look most likely for Carlos Tevez

The Carlos Tevez saga has been easily the most drawn out of the whole transfer window and it is now 2/1 that he leaves Manchester City in January in either a permanent or loan deal.

It seemed almost a certainty that Tevez would move on from Eastlands after falling out with Roberto Mancini in the Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich in September and there have been a host of clubs linked with his signature since.

But one by one the clubs have fallen by the wayside.

AC Milan was reportedly his preferred destination but were unable to stump up the £25m that Manchester City were demanding.

Rivals Inter then dropped out of the race, while French moneybags Paris Saint-Germain appeared to lose patience at consistently being the back-up option for Tevez when all other moves failed.

Russian big spenders Anzhi are the latest overseas club to declare an interest and a partnership of Tevez and Samuel Eto’o in attack would certainly rival any other in Europe.

However, it now seems most likely that Tevez will remain in England and two or three clubs are sniffing around a loan deal, which Mancini may reluctantly be forced into accepting to get his wages of the club’s books.

With Andy Carroll still misfiring and Luis Suarez banned, Liverpool could do with another striker and Tevez would be a massive coup in helping their quest of finishing in the top four.

But it is QPR that have emerged as surprise front runners given their need for a striker, which would allow Tevez to hook up again with former manager Mark Hughes.

In terms of being appreciated by the fans, Tevez could do far worse than returning to West Ham, but whether the drop down to the Championship would suit the Argentine and the club can afford his salary remains to be seen.

QPR are in talks with Fulham over a possible move to Loftus Road for striker Bobby Zamora.

The England international, 31, played under QPR’s former Whites boss Mark Hughes at Craven Cottage.

But Rangers have long been planning a pre-deadline move for Zamora, whose Fulham contract expires at the end of the season.

Initial enquiries were made about him while Neil Warnock was still QPR manager and the club have been monitoring his situation for some time.

Zamora is keen to make the move and Hughes is hoping to complete the deal in the coming hours.

Interesting Oslo and Tevez has been clever with that (legal play) thing today however with Cisse and Zamora (if he joins) i cannot see it but if we miss out on Zamora then a cheeky last minute.

The Tevez storyline is the smokescreen behind which the less dramatic bread and butter deals are happening.
Really can't see it happening (wages??!!)

Hold our breath! Tevez (half fit), Cisse, Zamora, and Adel should see us able to score a few!

Does anyone else find it a bit strange that all of our forwards seem to be injured?
I think something surprising may be afoot. Or am I just a conspiracy theorist?
