They out muscled us on Killkennys contract as well. More fool them. I would have loved Wilson at the club but his injury record makes it a true punt. Lets look for an out and out CB & leave Thompson in there. Hes doing a good enough job and was a right back at Everton in the first place! I now that still leaves us short of cover on the right but a starting CB must be priority surely!
I agree a cb is a must, I would also like a strong midfielder as well, lets just hope we get what we need, 3 points tonight !!!
I read somewhere that Bristol city spent 126% of their income on wages, says it all. Wilson was league one standard but would probably strengthen our right back position thats the scary thing! Id have taken him but now just hope this Adam Smith deal turns out to be true.
We didnt get muscled out. We weren't willing to pay that high amount on wages (and rightly so because he isn't worth it considering we have signed smith) and so he went to Bristol City who were willing to pay the wages.
