yep, loan move and a good one for me, will give cover with the injuries and release Richardson to he better place up field
I'm sorry lads but whichever way you dress it up Bridge is an average player at best. If we are paying any chunk of his salary it's a bad move IMO.
5 yrs ago this would've been news that i'd have been very envious of however he looked very average at West Ham and doesn't look interested anymore. Smacks of mercinary at this stage of his career.
That kinda the point I was getting at. His performance level at West Ham was shockingly bad (by most accounts I heard). The only variable in the situation is can MON (legendary man-manager) bring the best out of him?
Well he undoubted has ability and you don't become crap over night but he's getting on has had a lot of injuries and and i just don't know whether he has retained the quality he used to have or has it left in his locker to utilise his abilities at this level anymore.
i,m sorry but this would be a terrible signing for you's at LB the only advantage i can see from your point of view is that it will allow richardson to play left wing?????
Sorry guy's have to say this would be a good signing, we have been crying out for a proper L/B forever, you don't play for the likes of Chelsea and city without having something, hasn't played enough in last 2/3 years but that could be to our advantage.I fully expect MON to get the best out of him, which I guess is the reason why MON fancies him. As for Richardson I think this will push him way down the pecking order, I see a lot of bench warming heading his way
Good god! Richardson was bad but Bridge's form since he was dropped from Chelsea's first team all those years ago has been really poor. Hope we contribute very little to his astronomical wages if true.
Seems to me to be a bit of a no brainer - agreed, not the best left back on the planet but better than KR (Colback looked good there though when he deputised). Only on a loan, no long term commitment. Guess City will be paying a chunk of his wages too. Gives MON time to see what he can make of him - if he can turn him around all well and good, if not he leaves at the end of the season. Anyway - when Tevez comes on loan we`ll be sorted
If Bridge moves here, it will be to prove a point. I trust MON will get the best out of him, and MON obviously thinks he can as well.
If he comes on loan, then nothing to lose but everythingto gain over the next thee months or so. We need bodies to see us through the ever increasing injury list, and as has been said so many times we need a PROPER left back! Can't see a problem really.
he will BRIDGE the gap in our defence in the short term and allow richardson to push further up the field and challenge mcclean for left wing and sess for the deep striker position. I reckon we will see mcclean drop to the bench and be an impact player coming on as sub when we need a boost
