http://www.clickliverpool.com/sport...d-the-real-shame-of-latest-anfield-clash.html The Media response to this story as been truly sickening.Im trying to think of worse words to describe it, truly disgusting, there arnt words in the English language to describe how truly obhorant there behaviour has been, how they have totally ignored this story.Hopefully some of the larger papers decide to report on this The chanting was infinitely worse than anything else that happened at the match on Saturday, and the Media response to ignore it and sweep it under the carpet, just shows there hypocrisy and have absolutely no moral values whatsoever. I dont understand it There must be some unwritten code whereby, whenever " The S*ns " despicable behaviour over 20 yrs ago gets mentioned anywhere, that they just totally ALL ignore it.Similar to the phone tapping, all then national press attempted to avoid that story too.Journalists in this country in the main are a disgrace Credit to Richard Buxton to be the first to break ranks
But its not racism, remember britain was part of the slave trade we must fight racism etc etc etc Other forms of hatred are in glossed over in the name of anti racism.
I was at the game in the top tier Anny Rd, I have wrote to both SOS and the club about it ( as I am typing this I have just received a response from the club), without doubt the worst behaviour I have EVER seen at a football match from ANY set of fans
I was in the Main Stand near the halfwayline and clearly heard the 'Hillsborough' song/chants coming from the Anny Rd lower. Its a pity more papers/hacks/Sky Sports etc never had the decency to report it because if they had it would have given a more balanced view than the attack on Liverpool FC and our support and its 'morals' from all and sundry. It also shows the racist attitude towards Suarez in the 'press' that the England captain is being treated with kid gloves by comparison. If JT gets found not guilty in court the FA cant find him guilty(as the video of the incident clearly shows he is)because Terry will sue them for defamation due to being found not guilty in a court of law.
I find the chanting of ANY disaster to be in very, very poor taste. Those who died were innocent fans and there can be no justification for it whatsoever. However I have come across an interesting website http://www.vgpolitics.f9.co.uk/mayhil.htm which highlights a few things. I don't think it is worthy of it's own thread and I am in no way trying to WUM (I appreciate you guys don't know me although SKY does) but interested in what you guys think? If you can't be bothered reading the general consensus of the article was while the majority of fans (90% +) were not to blame, some of them were and you should have some accountability. I was never sure and still not but this article certainly does not flame anyone and uses other examples to highlight similarities where the fans did get all the blame!
Very interesting. I certainly find it peculiar that Crouch and Rooney get away with despicable acts while certain others who do not come from this country get punished for less (or unproven in the case of Suarez, I have not seen any evidence )
Evra made the accusation, Suarez defence was unreliable and Kuyt changed his story to suit the facts which makes it very likely that Evra was right. But I am mystified too as to why John Terry is getting such an easy ride, presumably it will change when the verdict comes out. I would guess though that the rivalry between QPR and Chelsea not being anywhere near as big as the one between liverpool and man utd has something to do with it though.
We're scum to the papers.,,,,,get used to it I know it happened because I heard from practically the back of the Kop but you expect the FA to react or Sky, Talkshite, the beeb or the rags to raise it as an issue?? Get real....won't happen.
Well in that case LFC and the official supporters club should raise the issue. The Kenny of old(who once told a reporter that his baby daughter talked more sense than Ferguson)would have raised the issue on behalf of the victims and their families but we cant expect Kenny to champion our cause all the time.
It only takes 1 ethnic supporter to claim that thousands of Utd supporters were singing those words "at least 10 times" and make an official complaint to the FA for a farce of an investigation to be conducted. However, despite audio/visual evidence that will support the claim, the FA will find that nothing untoward took place and judge that both the club and the supporters of Utd should be praised. Same Old Same Old
Thanks for contacting Liverpool Football Club Having been in attendance at the game I am aware of the chanting and agree totally that this seems to have gone un-noticed by the national press. The Club are aware of this and have put steps in place. Thank you for your comments Thanks for your continued support Kind Regards
Im gonna give them a week and if nothing happens I will get in touch again Might they get a low allocation of tickets next year
