Deadline day.

Funny old day isnt it? we tune into it from wherever we can be it on T.V or on forums, news feeds and websites but what does it mean to you? excitement of a new player? relief at player staying? for me its all about the unknow, at any given moment that breaking news yellow bar flashes up along the bottom of sky sports news and for a split second you dont know whats coming, you wait with baited breath....... SKY BREAKING NEWS NEWCASTLE UNITED IN TALKS WITH PAPISS DEMBA CISSE, now that was a cracker!! i suppose a centre half in and no outs would be fine, but i cling onto the hope that something out the blue will once again shock me. And with that let the fun begin.

 

The hope that Newcastle will keep all the key players and sign one or two good players in areas we can improve. Remember last year one minute jumping for joy when we thought we were signing Ridgewell and Ruiz, then being gutted when Ruiz was going to Fulham and Ridgewell was staying.

 

I'm fully confident that we will see the words DEAL FROM NEWCASTLE on the yellow ticker. Meaning selling someone. Mike Ashley always brings money in during the transfer window. He so far hasn't and has spent a fortune on one player. No way will we have the same squad come 11pm tomorrow night.

 

I hope we get a CB in and no one going out.

I have heard a rumour up here that after missing out on Morrison, Pards is going to bid for Templeton fron Hearts. Could get him for 300k and very uch one for the future.

I can see us potentially getting a defender in on loan or we just won't sign anyone. I'll stick my neck out and say that i don't see any of our top boys leaving when theres a potential push for europe at stake (or at least there was before cabaye got banned)

 

I honestly believe we need 1 more quality centre mid this window. With Cabaye missing 3 games and Tiote still away I see us being horribly short in there. We have plenty players that can play there but they are either young or not influential enough for me. A good loan signing at CM and CB would be just the ticket today!!

 

I don't see us even looking at CM unfortunately although i agree we can coast with one of our 1st choice CMs out to lose both will be trouble. he's either going to go with Ryan taylor in the middle or Dan gosling partnering guthrie in all likelihood but i'd quite like to see him throw abeid in as he's already played blackburn twice this season and aquitted himself well on both occasions.
