Barrichello has been testing an IndyCar today. Although there was an interesting comment earlier from him that he still hasn't given up on 2012 being his 20th year in F1.

Very surprised with the rumours about Rubens, I'm sure I read that his wife had vetoed any move into Indycar.

If you haven't seen this already, someone on another forum spotted something which reveals Ferrari car names.

    It's called the F2012.

    http://singleseater2012.ferrari.com/
On the tab it says Ferrari F2012 - The brand new Ferrari F1 singleseater.

On the topic of websites (probably slightly off topic, but never mind), I'm curious how far ahead teams plan the names of their cars. For example, it's usually pretty obvious what the new Mclaren will be called. But, how early do they buy the websites? I'd be curious if they already own the rights to a site like MclarenMP4-40.com, or similar. If not, it might be possible to make a killing buying up web domains in advance, and then selling them on for a decent margin when Mclaren, etc, finally get round to developing that particular car.

I've never really understood Ferrari's car naming. It even happens with their road cars. In F2012, why do they need to put the "F" in if it stands for Ferrari. It's basically being called the Ferrari Ferrari2012.

Hmm, it's a shame though that no matter how radical the new Mclaren is, it'll still look pretty similar to every other car on the grid, I'd like a bit more variation! Still, I guess we'll find out soon. If Mclaren expect a legal battle, then surely they must think elements of their car must be illegal? If they weren't, then wouldn't they have got FIA approval for certain elements of design at an earlier stage, which would remove the threat of a legal battle?

This might need a new thread, but I'll stick it here anyway:

Adrian Sutil has been given an 18 month suspended sentence for GBH (See SkySports, etc)

Lol, thats the best part to read for anyone who can't figure out why some british F1 fans still downplay Sebastian Vettels skills

    ----
McGrath added that beating qualifying master Sebastian Vettel will be crucial if McLaren is to be successful in 2012, particularly as its analysis indicated that the raw pace of last year's MP4-26 was superior towards the end of the season despite Red Bull and Vettel's run of poles.

"He must be a brilliant driver, because by the end of last season we definitely had the best car and he was still whupping us," McGrath said.

"We're trying to figure out exactly what he's doing that's so good. How does he pull out that fast qualifying lap every time? We think it's driver skill. There's no trickery on the cars, he just gets more out of it than we do."

They might have got the approval of the FIA, but it does not mean that the FIA will change their decision if (certain) teams protest it. The active ride hight is proof of that.

I'm skeptical about the authenticity, McLaren certainly did not have a better car than RB at the end of the season... at Brazil they were slower than Ferrari! Lack of downforce, clearly.
