How badly is the Redknapp tax fraud trial going to affect us?

    Fabregas?

To say he's never shone is simply incorrect - Ipswich fans were raving about him when he was on loan there and he seemed to do well loaned out at Santander, and he played regularly for both.

Barca voiced their annoyance at how the Goons acquired Fabregas it was not consensual at all, so I don't know why you brought that up.

He shone in the Championship and in midtable La Liga games, not PL games...the reason we took a punt on him.

Hbic...he's ****, a feeble prima donna swatted out the way like a fly in the PL, he's a typical European player looking for European ref protection, bred into him at an early age no doubt.

Even if Harry isn't found guilty of tax fraud, there's a fair chance he'll take up the England manager's job so where will the coaching staff go? Didn't Kevin Bond and Joe Jordan follow Harry out of Portsmouth to join Spurs? Ok, they're not gonna join the England national team. But if Harry does leave the club for one reason or another, it's bound to affect our chances of challenging for a top 4 spot next season.

He played in Championship and La Liga games, rather than coming off the bench (or starting games in Ramos' bizarre system that seemed to be based on preventing the ball getting within 30 yards of the opposition goal...) He's more of a disappointment than an outright failure as there have been glimpses of what he can do when he has been offered a chance, which is one up on the likes of Bostock who will likely be quietly sold on this summer. Now if you want to talk about prima donnas, with a typical English sense of entitlement...

I actually view the trial as neutral to good news, since my biggest worry is Redknapp taking the England job, and the trial makes that less likely. As to all the permutations of various negative possibilities, to do and not to do with Redknapp: there are a million of them, they make me unhappy, so I refuse to think about them very much.

He put himself out for Ipswich hoping to get a buyer, Spanish football suits his style. In summary hbic, i do see the glimpses you have, but thats it, he just hasn't shown any consistancy other than the 2 spells you mention. I find that a frightening reason to continue experimenting, hoping to see Messi II. Its just not happening fella.

I wasn't saying he'd be the club's marquee player (barring a case of cholera sweeping through Spurs Lodge) but we do need cover for Lennon and, with us loaning out Townsend, Gio is the best option we have at present, or the one that doesn't involve speculating about potential arrivals tomorrow.

Anyway, a distinct lack of headlines on this evening's news indicates one of three things:
i.) Court wasn't in session today
ii.) No potentially juicy headlines came up in court
iii.) As the case for the defence being read, the BBC's were unable to act as Chief Muckraker (unlike during the prosecution, where they gleefully reported every detail)

I know you weren't suggesting that mate and on that basis, best we have, its not a reason to use him unless there's no choice, I'd continue to play Lennon to death, rather than him....like Harry has.

But yes, back to topic, only Mandaric in court today, very briefly covered by the beeb on the news just now! <whistle>

Tough one for the Biased Broadcasting Corporation - side with someone else in the dock, or spend a lot less time covering it because less finger-pointing can be gleaned from it.
