My tuppence; The letters too long, making too many different points - the bulk is the player list which will allow KB to deflect it onto SG. Include that costs table someone posted a while back which shows what we have for wages and transfers and shows us lagging behind the rest. Ask where the money from selling players and the cup runs (which were stated as being outside of budget planning) has gone and why hasn't it been reinvested in new players. Include something about being given the same excuses about near misses etc every single transfer window. KB is the money man, so that's what to ask about. Like the premiership prices bit!

As for the bit about players, I felt it was entirely necessary to highlight the sheer number of substandard players that have been acquired, as well as highlighting where even the ones who are good enough were gotten in spite of his poor policies. I made a point of highlighting that it is a result of cutting corners and cheapness, where the buck stops with him.

marko, this letter isn't really anything to do with bates. This is all to do with Simon Grayson's signings and the fact of the matter is if he brought in less signings of more quality he woulda been able to spend more money on those 'quality' signings.
And he still wouldn't have had enough to pay for top players since he's on a League One budget. So it's entirely to do with Bates.
Our squad isn't that big. No matter how many times Bates says we have a big squad, we don't. You can inflate the numbers all you want with players who are rarely going to come into contact with the first team and players who are out with long term injuries. The players we have are not good enough and the reason they are not good enough is that we can't seem to be able to sign anyone better, and that's all down to money. When your entire transfer budget including wages, fees and agent fees is a poxy £9.5 mill and you've been told you're overbudget by 2 mill, I expect we won't be signing anyone of any quality to fill the massive gaps in our squad. When keeping mediocre players puts you 2 mill over budget without any notable transfer fees, you know it's not enough. It certainly isn't enough since we can afford to spend double what we are spending and still come nowhere near overspending, just Bates has this stupid unhealthy obsession with property development and it's killing our club. Every single thing Bates has ever done that has sparked controversy has been to do with property development that nobody wants.
