So in essense, scientist should be studying Barton to work out how he uses social networking?

I think they should be studying all users to work out why they use social networking, personally

I wonder if there any gay players playing for us, I know Xisco is meant to be, but any of our current squad.

I've got nothing at all against it, I'm just curious if there is any - or any in the Premier League for that matter.

It would be interesting to know but personally I hope whoever is keeps it quiet. I have absolutly nothing against it but if/when they got abuse of fans it would piss me off so much

Yeah true, hear rumours all of the time like when Ambrose was supposed to be (married with 2 kids now) and O'Shea was meant to be (married). Obviously the Sol Campbell rumours and he is married lol. They get abused when they aren't gay - imagine what it would be like if they came out...

For the general footballing community to move on I think it's important for at least a few gay players to make the brave step forward and come out, others will follow.

You'd be surprised how many people aren't bothered about a person's sexuality, there will obviously be the idiots who use it for abuse but they will soon be stomped out. A few eggs need cracking to make this omlette but we need some men who are strong enough to take on the media circus and get the ball rolling. It WILL be hard for them but in a few years time, hopefully, it will be as frowned upon as racism is today.
