Former Leeds and Newcastle Legend Gary Speed sent a text to his wife days before he died in which he âtalked in terms of taking his lifeâ, an inquest heard today. But the coroner ruled there was no evidence to suggest he intended to take his own life.In a narrative verdict, Cheshire coroner Nicholas Rheinberg gave the cause of death as hanging but said âthe evidence does not sufficiently determine whether this was intentional or accidentalâ.Mr Rheinberg said Speed may have ânodded offâ while sitting with a rope around his neck on the stairs in his garage. The inquest at Warrington Coronerâs Court heard that Speed texted his wife days before his death and âtalked in terms of taking his lifeâ.The couple also âhad wordsâ on the night before he was found dead after they had been to a dinner party at a friendâs house
I think your speculation is sick, unwarranted and hugely inappropriate. Please go away and don't say another word.
Still seems very strange what happened, but we'll never truly know what was going through his mind the night he died. R.I.P Speedo! Still doesn't feel like he's no longer with us.
The sad thing is his loved family won't know the full truth which is harrowing to think. All seems strange to me. RIP Gary Speed.
