Once people have an impression of someone, even based on one incident, it can be very hard to shift. If Holt is likeable and down to earth, then Lambert is half way there.
Think he's referring to his on-pitch persona. Good a player as he is, I'm not a fan of the diving, arguing or general poor sportsmanship.
With respect, that simply isn't true. A Leicester fan has said today that Pearson is equally as good a manager as Lambert, and now this.<shakeheadsmiley>
ricky lambert's a good player but nobody can suggest he is better than holt until we've seen if he is capable of playing in the top division. holt has proved that he can and i wouldn't be entirely surprised to see him in the next england squad. fact is, i wouldn't have minded signing lambert last year, but it would have been as back up to holt
Lambert is a superior player.Scored more goals than Holt, better passer of the ball, scored pens and free kicks.
how many premier league goals has he scored? yes lambert has scored more goals but how many are from dead balls? holt has taken i think four penalties for norwich - thats all! as said above, both good players but until lambert is proven in the top flight, which hopefully he will be next year, you can't say he is better
Can't compare Lambert and Holt until Lambert plays in the PL. I've always liked Norwich and their fans. Live with one at Uni, he loves it when I call him inbred
I was at that West Ham cup game (drew 0-0 if I remember correctly) in the early 90's and was sat/stood in the very front row behind one of the goals and my enduring memory was of one of the jobsworth stewards telling us off about every two minutes for obscuring the advertisings with our canaries. Of course that made us put them all away and stop waving them around didn't it - yeah right
According to the ever so reliable Wikipedia, Lambert has moved to Leeds today for £2m. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rickie_Lambert
If Holt had taken our penalties in the past two season he would have scored more goals than Lambert in both I'd like to see them both playing up front together in the olympics later this year, that would totally encapsulate the spirit of the games in my opinion. Not going to happen though, Shearer will probably bring himself out of retirement for a bit of glory
I don't even think Lambert is good enough for England... Rooney,Bent,Sturridge,Welbeck,Carroll...others.....................................others.This is the natural order of strikers. I'm worried now,if we have to use Holt for euro 12.
