With half the Premier League playing tomorrow night, including Wigan and Spurs who we're supposed to be trying to buy players from, do you think it will be that much harder to get deals done before the 11pm deadline? Just think if deals aren't done by early afternoon tomorrow, I can't see us getting anyone from any of the clubs playing later that evening.
Managers don't have any input after a decision has been made to let a player go. It's all down to the execs and the usual haggling with the player and their agent/s. Business is business and if an exec misses the match ... well tough, that's their job. If you are the buying team and are playing tomorrow, then that might cause a few problems. The manager might be required to talk players into coming, etc. Difficult if you're on the touchline. We don't have that problem!! We're buying and not playing.
True, but if for example the "exec's" at Wigan accept an offer from us for Rodellega for £5m at 20:30 tomorrow night and he's on the pitch at White Hart Lane, it might be difficult to complete a deal by 11pm? Sure, his agent can discuss terms on his behalf but he can't do a medical and if you're paying that sort of money, you'd want a medical done whether he's been playing regularly or not?
Don't be suprised if loads of teams field rather unusual teams tomorrow night - leaving out anyone who are in discussion for a move, just in case. Otherwise, there may be some 'tactical' substitutions at half time, allowing medicals to take place. Can you imagine us signing Rodellega, but needing to do the medical at White Hart Lane because that's where he is playing? Fortunately, the main players we are linked with appear to be Spurs and Wigan, both of whom are playing locally at WHL, or Blackburn, who aren't playing till Wednesday.
Sources in Italy have confirmed that Lazio have sold Djibril Cisse to English Premier League outfit Queens Park Rangers for €5M. The Frenchman has been keen to head back to England, where he has previously turned out for Liverpool and Sunderland, while Lazio were happy to bank the cash, as Cisse has struggled to enjoy success in Edy Reja’s side. Indeed, after two goal-filled seasons in Greece with Panathinaikos, Cisse has failed to regularly find the back of the net in Serie A, managing just one league strike, one in the Coppa Italia and three in Europe – giving a total of five in 25 games. And now Lazio president Claudio Lotito has admitted that Cisse has been sold to QPR. Lazio boss Reja will instantly put the money to good use, as the club push ahead with their swoop for Japanese international Keisuke Honda. The former VVV-Venlo man is expected to arrive from CSKA Moscow shortly. http://www.insidefutbol.com/2012/01/30/lazio-sell-djibril-cisse-to-qpr-for-e5m/57238/? Mark Hughes would love to work with Carlos Tevez again, but ruled out a loan move QPR manager Mark Hughes would love to sign frozen out Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez but admitted that it is unlikely they will be able to sign the player. The Welshman brought Tevez to the Etihad Stadium when he was in charge of the Citizens with the Argentinean netting nine times in 20 matches under his stewardship. "I'd consider him every day of the week, but it is unlikely. Much as I would love to think it could happen, I'd be very surprised to have him," Hughes said. "He's very much a Man City player and the view is he will be there until at least the end of the season." http://www.london24.com/sport/championship/qpr_2_5433/qpr_boss_would_love_to_work_with_carlos_tevez_again_1_1192392 Surprised but not shocked, permanent not loan. So there is a chance. Tevez on a permanent tomorrow 10:59 then
Could take him "on loan" until the end of the season with definite purchase in the summer. If he fails a medical on Wednesday or Thursday then he goes straight back.

We could but there is no way Wigan would let him join us on loan without a substantial fee up front, one that we wouldn't get back if he didn't sign permanently. Also, I think we can only sign 2 players on loan from other Premier League clubs, we already have Macheda and are after (apparently) Pienaar, Bassong and Kranjcar, I reckon they are more likely to join on loan than players from Wigan or Blackburn.
Mark Hughes has indicated that Queens Park Rangers will not try to sign Chris Samba from Blackburn before Tuesday's transfer deadline. by @SkySportsLewis 5:16 PM Guess that's that then.
