Well I tried but it seems that whatever I say people will read what they want and not what is said, pity that.
HaHa! It was ever thus. For what it is worth, I would be delighted to have a team that 'is difficult to beat' and for the SOL to be a place that teams hate to come to. That makes us a premier league outfit for keeps! MON, has to make the most of what he has inherited and is doing just that. I quite like the counter attacking format when you have the pace of McLean, Sess and Campbell it terrifies defenders and gets you on the edge of your seat. A question for you Syd? Realistically, which other premiership team would you like us to emulate?..... remembering that MON would like us to play the Barcelona way ... eventually!!!! Keep your chin up mate and laugh it off.
You don't have to explain nowt, MON wasn't my fist choice either, but, Mourhino was unavailable at the time, I don't suppose Benitez would have come here anyway, but I'm glad we got MON, I don't think anyone else could have done a better job than him, the time for fancy footwork will be when we are 10 points clear at the top with 3 games to go, my ticker is knackered now, I couldn't take the backs to the wall stuff to often any more
As I've said many times before on here, 'if we all were of the same opinion it would be a pretty boring place'... what I would say is never apologise for your opinions, but be prepared to argue the case with people who feel different, because that is what these forums are all about...
I'm not that into it to say about other teams, happy with present system when it works but need the cutting edge and thats my point. Hit them on the break is fine if we hit them, when Campbell came on we did. Thats all I am after, a player who can either hold the ball and bring the breakers, Sess, Mclean and Campbell in or a striker who can take the chances, like Campbell did. Its not change what MON has done its further improve it.
Id rather like you to answer to why there is only 33 hours left and we are just now trying to bring in a striker in Davies?
i can see your point syd, i thought the football at the game yesterday was dreadful on our behalf and slightly embarrising, boro played better football and created better chances than us. I think MON got the tactics wrong in this game, our team had the ability to comfortably beat boro but we snatched a draw. Having said that...... I think MON has been a revalation to us, hes picked the club out of the dumps and installed some much needed pride into the team, the fans and everyone associated with safc. I think his tactics work, and when he has the winning formular. When he signs his own players, i think we will be watching some exiting counter attacking football with pace on either wing and a marksman upfront. I believe in MON and trust him to guide our club to success.
Mr cheik the room, when you're lucky enough to have a family as wonderful as mine, life is never sad or pathetic. I stood in the roker end in the p*ssing rain for years and have earned the right to express my opinion. Anyway, isn't that the whole idea of having a forum ?
