Haven’t seen the race but I see that the ‘pride of the county’ did it by 15 lengths. Not sure it taught us anything new about him but I think he needed an easy success on his old CV because his wins/runs ratio up until today wasn’t that great (20%) and this success would almost certainly have done Montbazon’s confidence the world of good. Ladbrokes still go 20’s, by the way, re him and the Supreme. Serious question. Robert Thornton is due back from injury very shortly. Wayne Hutchinson has, of course, done such an admirable job in his absence and ridden numerous good winners for Barbury Castle. If you were Alan King what would you do when Thornton reports back for duty???
Get him on my Cheltenham horses ASAP - there are few who ride Prestbury Park as well as "Choc" Hutch has done a very, very good job in Choc's absence, despite a relatively poor start to the season. I suspect he is waiting for Choc to hang his boots up, to get the #1 slot for the yard. He certainly never seems frustrated at being #2 and I should think Alan King is delighted to have 2 very good jocks in his yard.
Alan King will be legging up Choc, thats for sure, Wayne Hutchinson is a very good rider, but at the moment he is not in the same class as Thornton, imo, but he's getting there for sure.
Fancy Royal Mackintosh in the 2.20 at Ayr - decent 2nd lto and that was coming back from a break so should hopefully improve for that run. Should go close at 9/2
Both of tomorrow’s NH meetings must be in some doubt I would have thought but I see that Mr Henderson has catered for such a scenario by kindly declaring Sistine (what a lovely name for a filly by the way) in the opener on Southwell Sands. The ‘Elite Racing’ filly is still on just 59 but looking at the 1.30 contest I do wonder if there are more plots than in an Agatha Christie novel contained therein. Meanwhile, Burton Port could be back on Saturday!
McCain & Maguire at it again at Ayr - 2 from 2. Didn't they have a 4-timer at the last meeting there?

I hope your not insinuating something Nassaubored. It's a forum, not your personal attention seeking site, have a word ref.
Not a great race but i bet Noel Fehily thought he had a chance... After all he hasnt won on this horse for over 2 years... How much will he be dropped for his next run...
Rode a great race did Noel, I think I will see what price he is for the National, that's the jockey, not the horse.
